Terrible compressor

We purchased this fridge brand new in 2013. In 8 short years the compressor had failed us twice. Thank goodness it had a 10 year warranty. This was our second LG fridge. Our first one was great.

Not thrilled with fridge/customer service is great

I believe it's stuck because I didn't change the filter for awhile and the rubber seal is stuck. This is not because of the refrigerator.

Within one year - major repairs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, we were happy with this product. There were two issues but not major. The first is that when the automatic ice maker distributes ice, it get hung up on the left side of the bin. You have to move the ice to the left/middle for it to fully distribute the ice. The second is how the ice is distributed. Unless you have your glass right up against the port, crushed ice spews everywhere including your floor.
Now for the big issues; Within 12 months, the compressor stopped working and then a computer problem after the compressor was installed. Obviously, you spend this much on a refrigerator, your expectations clearly haven't been met. Do better LG

This fridge sucks

This fridge sucks, they replaced the compressor, condenser and now they said that the mail board computer is messed up. I will never ever buy a LG again!

Beautiful refrigerator and hopefully no more probs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG French Door refrigerator with ice maker water dispenser is a beautifully designed refrigerator that stores a LOT of stuff. I love it, though I do have a complaint. I have had to have it repaired twice for the same issue. The compressor goes out too easily. Also, the water storage tank it has to supply cold water to the dispenser has a tube that too easily gets loose and then causes a leak. Thankfully though, now I know how to fix that myself. I just hope I never have to have the compressor replaced again because the warranty will probably be expired by then.
