Really disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator makes a lot of noise. We purchased a 5 year protection plan and 5 years and one month later it quit working! A repairman came but it’s still not fixed. Seems like companies are making refrigerators that only last 5 years or so

Worked great right up until the compressor blew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compressor blew up at 4 years old right before thanksgiving. Did some research and found out that there was a class action settlement that pertained to this model due to compressors failing. Called LG they came out and fixed it. It seems to be working properly again but I had to buy a high low temperature monitor because I don’t trust it anymore.

Only issue was the water dispenser was a little confusing for guests and they would end up spraying themselves because their cup would be under the ice dispenser. Otherwise it has been all we could want.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator nearly 5 years ago. It has worked very well, but the compressor went out the other day. It took 4 days to get someone out to fix it (even with Covid), and luckily it was still under the extended warranty. LG did send a small amount of money for lost food, although it did not cover everything, it did help with losses.
The fridge itself works great and has lots of room for food storage. The only complaint I have is that I wish you could continue getting ice/water from the door when the other door is open. I like the ice cube size in this unit much better than most, but it would be nice if you could get one that would allow different shape. I would be willing to purchase an insert to change the shape of ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the French door LG in 2013. I have enough room to put all my groceries for a grown up family of four. I love the freezer. It's so easy to find my frozen foods. My LG refrigerator lost power during several power outages in one day. Since LG has a 10-year warranty on compressors I was able to get a compressor free of charge. The people at LG we're wonderful to work with. I told them that my husband and I were in our middle seventies and we had a son that was legally blind and a 22-year-old grandson. They expedited the paperwork. My appliance repairman received the compressor within four days. We were so happy to get our LG back.
