I have had this case for wto weeks and am pleased with the purchase. The case does add a little weight, but offers a snug fit and provides a comfortable, solid feeling. I m not ready to drop it two stories to test the claim, but know my iPad Air 2 has the best protection available. One note: if you already have a screen protector installed, remove it prior to attaching the Defender. You will eventually need to do so for best iPad results.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: adds weight

I read as many of these reviews as I could before deciding to buy this case. I was a bit leery at first, but already had an iPhone Defender case and was super pleased with it. So now I also own the iPad 2 Defender and couldn't be happier. None of the worries I had panned out...it is not too heavy (just sturdy), no pieces of plastic snapped off, the screen looks great to me, and I have no trouble pressing the button on the bottom. I love the cover and the way it converts to a stand. I believe this is the best insurance I could have found against damage to my iPad and I'm so happy I decided to purchase it. Get this case!

I previously had the L***P***f protecting my iPad, and it did fine,however, it is a brick! The additional "bulk" and added weight took the "portability out of the equation.
upgrading to the "iPad Air 2" which is both slimmer and lighter than it's predecessor the choice of protection was a no brainier. The otter box is Minimalist to the Max!, 3way protection and it looks good.

I was a bit skeptical about the Otterbox because of the poor reviews but decided to go with what I use on all my phones and iPods and I am totally pleased with the iPad case. Otterbox is far superior to any case on the market hands down! I did make a minor modification to mine by removing the screen protector and used a Zagg HD screen protector only because I primarily use my iPad for viewing movies and surfing the web indoors. Thanks for making such and awesome product Otterbox. This is my 9th case and I'm sure there will be more purchases in the future.

Bought it for my daughter Pre-teen, put it this way (She'll never make it as a running back) Got..Fumbles?
It's already saved her butt a couple times.
Well, it is the best protection out there for ANY phone, ipad, tablet, etc.
It's a "No Brainer" buy, you want the best protection, here it is ! fit, finish, looks, etc. 10/10 points

Great protection for your IPad

I take my IPad to the mountains often so I was looking for a tough reliable case and after reading many reviews, I decided to give it a try. The fit and finish of the product are great. Putting the IPad inside was not hard. I did find that when I need to use a card reader that will not fit into the port, I really don’t want to take the cover back off and risk stretching the silicone that surrounds the screen just so I can fit the accessory reader in. I have also had a problem with the fold out part that supports the screen. One of the little pins that the part pivots on broke off so now I have to carefully unfold it to prevent one side of it to detach from the cover. When taking pictures, I need to remove the snap on cover and lay it down while using the camera. Still with these few flaws, I would most likely buy another defender case for an IPad. I have yet to see another case that protects the machine so well.
Pros: High quality, outstanding shock and weather protection
Cons: some accessories will not plug in due to size, must remove lid to shoot photos

Works Great !! The positioning features allows quite a bit of versatility . Other than a Mil. Spec case I believe this is the most durable case available. My past experiences with customer service was second to none.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: slight interference with game playing
