Excellent update for the iPad2

This case is way better then the orginal iPad2 case
Pros: High quality, Durable, easier to use, much better quality then original ipad2 version, actual plastic screen protector
Cons: cost

Perfect Case for School and a young child

The case that I previously purchased with my iPad2 from another company came with a bluetooth keyboard. It was perfect for taking to class at my university and sitting with my young son watching his favorite videos, until the leather case literally fell apart in my hands.
Since I already have an Otterbox case for my iPhone, I wanted something similarly indestructible for my little son's fingers. The new case for my iPad can stand up to late night viewing of PBSKids and lullaby music as well as writing papers and spreadsheets for class. The case was easy to slip on and totally secure for peanut butter coated fingers while being easy to clean with mild soap and water..

The only case worth buying for your IPad 2 or 3...

Make it quick and simple I wouldn't have ever purchased an iPad if Otterbox didn't come out with the Defender series for the new iPad3/2 honestly. That other case for the iPad2 the reflex is a joke. Luckily Otterbox came out with the defender bc the release of the 3rd gen iPad thank gosh bc I see so many immitations of Defender series for both iPads and iPhones. They all are copies that lookorvtry to look exactly like otter example the Griffin iPad case is almost identical but ugly and the screen that covers the screen is really bad.
Pros: High quality, get what u pay for

I'm not the most subtle person. Usually a walk downstairs turns into a stumble down the stairs. So when I got my new blackberry a year ago, I immediately got the otterbox defender case for it, and loved it. My phone survived falls down stairs, on asphalt and more. I knew when I got my IPad 2 that there was no other case for me then the otterbox, and sure enought this case is perfect. It protects the screen from spills, which has happened more than once, it has also kept my iPad safe from scratches and falls. Otterbox is definetly the way to go.... Now if they could only come up with something for the MacBooks.

Excellent case

This is an amazing case and offers excellent protection. I chose the Defender case because of its built in screen protector and because of it offer complete protection. I have not had any issues with the built in screen protector and it does not diminish the screen. It does add some weight to the iPad.
I have the defender for my iPhone 4s and it has paid for itself.
Lastly, Otterbox is a n excellent company that stands behind its products.
I highly recommend this case and the company.

Awesome case for everyday use.........

Really pleased with the built quality and fit and finish of the product. The only factor bothering me was the screen guard that took away the retina quality from my New iPad, so I got rid of the screen guard which came with the case and installed a separate screen protector.....I would not recommend this to all especially if u have kinds, I would suggest u keep the screen protect that came with the case....or else I m satisfied with the product.

Cons: screen guard......but can be taken care off.

I am a college student with an ipad2. I work in a bank and commute between work and school daily. As someone who doesn't do so hot with the durability of large glass screens, this Otter Box case does an amazing job at giving me peace of mind that my ipad is always protected. The screen cover that doubles as a stand is by far my favorite feature. I am confident with my ipad in my backpack along with heavy books, that it will not be crushed, scratched, shattered, dented etc... I feel like I could use my ipad as a frisbee playing pass over the grand canyon with this case without consequence. The only bad thing I have to say about this case is that it is insanely hard to get off. I have definitely split a couple of finger nails and uttered some profanities I am not very proud of, just trying to dislodge my ipad from this shield of a case. So if you have a dock or other ipad accessories, it doesn't do very well because of the difficult removal process.
Pros: High quality
Cons: hard to separate from ipad at times
