One of the best things about this is the port covers. You can't get any dust or lint in your charger if you put it in backpack!
And the screen protector is just awesome! You can not get any scratches on your screen and it does not need sticking on.
And it has pads in the back so it will not scratch your iPad.
The silicone is really good quality!
But it is a bit hard to put on.
Pros: High quality, Durable, port covers

Soooooo,..Im on my second Otterbox only because the original wasnt as well constructed. I have a company issued iPad 2 that I was told to purchase a Defender Case for last year.
The original was sent to me and it was the wrong case and didn't fit. (This wasnt from Otterbox Directly)
Second one that was shipped to me ended up being an older style than I was expecting and I had to get a screen protector as well.
After using it for several months I finally had a chance to give Otterbox some feedback on my likes and dislikes and much to my surprise, they sent me an updated Defender! Wow! What great customer service!
The ONLY drawback with the new product is I have to remove the stand/cover off the back to take a picture now. Oh well, I think I can overlook this small difference.
Thank you Otterbox! I have been a long time customer. You have sealed the deal with me!

This is my second OtterBox with the last one being a warranty replacement. With in a week the stand that holds the IPad up has broken.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Not durable

Great Quality, but design changes needed

This is my 2nd OtterBox for iPad, & am also on my 2nd for iPhone. The quality is great, as expected, however, unlike on my first one..for the iPad 2, there are some design flaws...Well, really just one. The part that is supposed to make contact with the power button doesn't always make contact. In looking at the extension on the inside of the rubber cover, it doesn't seem wide enough, so when depressing the button, it doesn't always work. There have been times I've needed to take the rubber cover off, to turn my iPad off.
Other than that issue, great product...but having to remove the cover will be come annoying.

I have an ottebox on my phone and when I knew I was going to buy an iPad I ordered my otterbox right then. The only time I ever broke my phone was when I took it out of the otterbox to clean it and the door bell rang I got up to answer the door and dropped my phone --- it hit the wood floor and the face shattered. I drop my phone all the time never ever hurt it. In the few minutes I had it out of the otterbox and as usual I drop it---gone, face destroyed. Never use any glass faced phone or tablet without an otterbox which in my opinion is the best on the market.

Great case, but....

I love my defender case for my iPad, keeps an expensive piece of gear in good shape. My greatest issue is with the cover/stand. The plastic has cracked around the magnets, they now stick to the iPad when I open it. The bracket to support the unit is broken at two of the eight pivot points, it now has to be realigned/put back together nearly every time I open or close the unit. As this is a major issue for me, I've rated only three stars. This needs to be addressed!

I left my iPhone o\n top of my car and drove onto interstate 35 in Oklahoma city. Of course it fell off. I looked back and saw several cars and at least one semi's tires drive directly over the phone. I managed to stop go back and pick it up. To my pleasant surprise the only damage was a couple scuff marks on one corner, a few indentations on the clear protective front cover and several truck tire tread marks on the back of the otter box defender. The phone works perfectly I'm sure that the money spent on this great case saved my iPhone 6+ from total destruction. Maybe otter box will exchange my case for a new one so they can put my otter box in their museum of phone saving otter box defender protective cases.
