A must have for kids!!!

I bought 3 Otterbox iPad Defenders for my 4, 5 and 6 year olds. We got a real test from my 6 year old who lost his iPad (unfortunately didn't realize to activate iPad finder on iCloud). After two days of pouring rain, we found the iPad outside in the Defender case, soggy on the outside, but working perfectly with slight charge remaining. My husband originally thought price was too high, but after this, he is a believer!
Pros: High quality, Durable, withstood downpour for 2 days

I love OtterBox. Good company, great staff, most outstanding product. This new defender case for my iPad was absolutely awesome! take it from me, I am a good old fashion Klutz. I drop my gear about 110 times a day. If I did not have OtterBox Protection on my stuff, my iPhone/IPad would be dead by now.
Love the case hate the screen! It was just so god awful shiny I had to replace it. I am an artist who draws on her IPad, the shinny screen was killing me outdoors. It was easy enough to remove and I replaced it with a anti glare cover and I am happy once again.

I have an Otterbox defender for my 128 GB IPad, and I couldn't be happier with it! I work construction & travel a lot so there are a lot of opportunities for something to get ruined or broken. Worked around a lot of windy, dusty, sandy conditions & have never have I had an issue with any ports, or stuff inside my case. Probably the best thing was my iPad, while traveling by plane, got knocked off a ticket counter by an employee. A corner on the hard shell removable cover was broken off in the fall but the iPad was completely unharmed. But to top off the protection it offered my iPad is that Ottetbox replaced my entire damaged Defender for free! Customer service was great! I actually called to purchase a replacement cover since it was broken in the manner that it was I didn't feel as if it was a warranty question. But the very nice lady in customer service told me flat out no need to buy anything, we will replace that unit for you. How amazing! They sent it to me at no cost to me what so ever, not even shipping. In the end it saved my iPad from being broken or damaged and the damaged cover was replaced for free. That is what is call standing behind your word! You don't see this kind of support from companies any more! THANKS OTTERBOX!

I have put Defenders on all of my devices for a couple reasons, beyond the obvious protection benefits. That is two iPhones, three iPads, and an iPod Touch, so far.
Secondarily, it protects the devices from even minor wear and tear, preserving re-sale value. I've even delayed getting a new device, until a Defender was available, so as soon as I got the device, I could immediately protect it.
But the biggest reason is that it just makes the devices more comfortable to hold and use. I'm not one who needs the device to be as compact as possible, rather I'd like to be able to use it without concern for it slipping off of a stand, or my knee, or out of my hand. And with the case in place, the edges of the devices, particularly the iPads, put less pressure on my hands, making it more comfortable to hold on to for extended periods of time.
The only suggestions I might make would be to offer a version of the case without the built-in screen protector and make the case more compatible with glass screen protectors. (On my last two devices/cases, I've removed the factory screen protectors, added glass screen protectors to my devices, and put them into the Defenders. This is the best combination, in my opinion.) And make available iPad silicone skins in various colors, so I can customize the case, like I was able to do for my iPhone6.
Love these cases.

This is my fourth OtterBox, and I would purchase one again in spite of a couple of problems with the new Air 2 Defender model. Firstly, it's very hard to take the cover off. My wife can't do it, and I have to loosen one clip at a time. Secondly, the cover for the recharging cord connector is also hard to open, and because of its stiffness, it will break off with use. This was also the case with my previous iPad Otterbox too. The power cord connector is a bit hard to reach when connecting the cord, but not as hard as my iPhone 6+ connector cover which I had to cut off to make work without lots of effort. But, in spite of these deficiencies, OtterBox is still the best out there.
Pros: High quality, always feel like my devices are well protected
Cons: hard to take top off and use connectors

I would have rated this all excellent but, unlike all the other otterbox products I have owned, this one does not give the sensitive touch on the screen as past products have. This is a disappointment as I use my iPad for presentations on a regular basis. Had it had the touch sensitivity as in the past this would have received 5 Stars. Even with this frustration I would recommend using the otterbox product. I know I still will.
