It is a standard fridge that has plenty of space for me though.It's quiet,cools and freezes great,and has a pretty good energy rating.

it is not as quite as my old one , but it is in a small space. I did find that it would hold as much as i need for me

It's a fridge

I'm not sure why there's so many people complaining about the noise it makes - compared to the old 1995 fridge it replaced, it's significantly quieter. .
It keeps frozen stuff frozen and cold stuff cold, what more can I say? The wire shelves are a little flimsy - they bow down when loaded. The factory middle preset is a bit too warm for my taste - when I pull a cold one out of the fridge, I want it to be cold, too cold to hold for very long anyway. And yes I waited for the 24 hours as specified by the manual.
If you need a budget fridge, you can't do much better than this one.

Nice compact unit, using for a spare in the basement. As others have noted it is louder than most units I have had in the past. Cools and freezes well. Wire rack shelving is not built heavy duty so do not stack 2 thirty packs of cans on them. For everyday use and affordability this is not a bad unit. If you will not be near the unit all the time like a basement or garage this would be perfect. I would not have in my kitchen...

I have had the refrigerator for a week. I think it's very loud. I also don't like the way the freezer is set up and I think it should have a light in the freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought our first fridge b/c in OK ppl aren't used to providing fridges in a rental unit! So, we got this GE and it's doing a great job!
