Great Product!!!

Perfect for everything that I need it for!!! Multiple Email Accounts? Games? Checkbook? Contacts? Media? Books/Magazines? Planner? Weather? YUP!! There's an app for that!!! This baby does everything I need except make phone calls, If it did that then yes I would be in heaven!!! It's compact, lightweight and runs sooo smooth.. No suitcases or dollys needed to carry it, video is not choppy.. Great product and value!!!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

For me, it's the perfect size. Large enough for browsing, emails, games, and exploring maps, but small enough to fit in my pockets! Speakers are good, sometimes they find a way to be covered up when I'm using it. Screen is good, only con would be that it wasn't the sharpest out there. Fast, no problems when flipping through my screens or loading apps. Battery is solid, no problems and lasts me 3 days easily with average use. Takes a while to charge though. Front and rear camera will do the deal, but nothing outstanding.
Love the design, it holds well, not heavy, good balance. Clean and just a great look overall.
Would def recommend to a friend.

Great product for it's intended purpose

First off I'm a long time (35+ years) computer user. I don't think that affects my review but first time computer/tablet users note.
Secondly this is my first tablet and Android device.
I've had this product for less than 24 hours now and love it. It is very easy to use. I've had no significant issues at all and have customized it to my preferences in short order.
I did have one issue--using the on-screen keyboard is an issue for my aging eyesight and clumsy fingers. That said using the device in landscape mode makes this much better as the "keys" are slightly larger and further apart. Unfortunately I didn't figure this out until AFTER entering all 63 characters of my Wi-Fi security code. Also I happen to own a Bluetooth keyboard and was able to pair/use this in less than a minute.
Another issue is the provided printed manuals. Much too small to be of any use. I downloaded, as I normally do anyway, the manual in PDF format and referred to that. PDF's are searchable so finding what you need is much easier. The first App I downloaded was Adobe Reader so viewing PDF's on the device is a breeze.
I've put a 8GB microSDHC card in my unit. That was loaded up with music (MP3's), manuals (PDF's) and so on. Absolutely no issues with any of that. In fact the built-in Music Player found all my MP3's by itself. Didn't have to do a thing.
I already had Samsung and Google accounts and both were configured and used in less than a minute.
I have connected the tablet to a PC via USB. It didn't show up as a mass-storage device (that maybe a default setting somewhere) but did as a MTP device. Either way you can transfer files.
Bluetooth pairing (to keyboard and PC) is trivial. Just worked.
All in all this is a great device for the price. Not exactly a replacement for my PC's but very good for it's intended purpose.
One last thing. It comes with a built-in IR Blaster and an App making it a useful TV/etc remote. Not exactly a universal remote but useful.

After having my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 2 (7.0 – 8GB) for about two weeks, it is one of my constant companions!! I have had no problems at all. I did download the Manual in PDF format from their Site; putting the Shortcut on my PC’s Desktop. The Manual was a help mate in the initial days of learning about the functionality of the Tablet.
I have come to utilize five Home Screens; using one just for utilizing the syncing of calendar, memos and contacts from my PC Outlook Program; one for financial programs and charts; and one for programs collecting news. Widgets come in handy for showing graphical charts and pictures associated with various Apps. The interface makes it so easy to customize the placement of apps and widgets on the Home Screens. Sometimes the interface is sensitive when one touches a widget or app icon. One has to tap quickly to execute the app or widget; otherwise the System thinks that you want to rearrange the icon on the Home Screen. I have around 67 apps plus numerous widgets on the system; and yet, I am only utilizing 669MB of the total 4.59GB available for personal usage. And I am not even mentioning the additional 32GB I have from my SD Card.
Some of the Apps that I have downloaded are the Thumbs Plus Keyboard, the PowerAmp App (which really turns the already great tiny speakers into a full blown mono/stereo system (G)), Wifi Analyzer, eWeather HD, Dolphin HD Browser, An Money Plus Finance (in importing/exporting “.qif” files from my desktop Quicken Program), ASTRO File Manager/Browser Pro, Deja Office Outlook Sync (which includes a desktop program to sync Outlook data to the Tablet – Great App, by the way!), News Republic for Tablet, KJV Bible, MyCar Locator and Tunein Radio Pro (my favorite). With Tunein Radio Pro, I have almost tossed my clock radio for it. (LOL) One can utilize its sleep timer adjusting the time from 15 up to 120 minutes. One may also utilize its one alarm setting in selecting a radio station, repeat sequence, time of the alarm, and volume.
Well, back to the Tab 2. (LOL)!! By the way, I have used it at five places, and it had no problem in finding Wifi hotspots at each location.

I love my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

At first I didnt think it was necessary to get a tablet since i already have a laptop and a pretty cool cell phone, so i wondered what more would I need. But my brother sells them and even though he had a demand for them he was keeping one back for some reason and I think he was holding it for me, finally God told me to buy it so i did and that has been one of my best decisions ever.
My galaxy tab fills so much empty space in my day, I carry it every where. I love music so i am constantly listening to music, whether i am doing chores, in the bath, going to sleep (I even have a rain app when i feel miserable and cant sleep lol). The app store also has a variety of game options, that i can play on the bus, in a waiting room, or i can read books with the Kindle app, I have the Bible saved on it as well so I can use it at church and make notes as well. And who could for those amazing speakers, these speakers have some brilliant projection, who needs a radio with that kind of quality.
I dont know if i could do without it now, plus i have a samsung laptop as well and Im striving for the phone next, so it would be nice to complete the trinity lol...so if anyone want a tablet, the Samsung Galaxy tab would be a great choice :)

The best for your buck

This Samsung Tablet met all my expectations & more. Originally I wanted a Kindle Fire but did some shopping around. The Samsung 7 Wi-fi was only $20 more. After a little more research I came by this baby and news that it will be released soon. I'm glad I wanted those 2 weeks :D

The Galaxy Tab 2 has more features and flexibility than both the Nook Tablet and the Kindle Fire. Front and rear cameras, Blue tooth, IR blaster and microSD slot. The Kindle Fire has none of these and the Nook Tablet only has the microSD slot. The Galaxy Tab 2 has the advantage of using the whole google app market where the Fire and Nook only have a limited number of apps available.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
