Can't put it down.

Since we've taken the Tab 2 out of it's box we have not been able to put it down. I love watching Netflix on it the picture is so great, not to mention the sound is incredible(don't let the size of the speakers fool you, they have kick in them). Also the battery life is very good, I can pretty much browse the web most of the day.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is a great small tablet that provides excellent performance at a good value.
It was near-perfect out-of-the box, but unfortunately the update to Android 4.1.1 has diminished my enjoyment quite a bit. The update led to poor performance and periodic crashes. It also removed all of my desktop shortcuts and I don't like the changes to the interface.
I'm desperately hoping Samsung at least fixes the bugs soon.
Pros: performance, display quality, micro sd expandability
Cons: update to 4.1.1 is buggy

Great tablet

I bought the tablet from school and I can say it is worth the money. I have cracked the screen and it still works like a charm. Excellent memory, great speakers, great selection of apps and amazing (somewhat) battery life. I live in the tech world and a tablet from samsung is definitely woth the investiment. I've had mine for almost five months and it still works, it's been updated and the only problem I had was it hung up (bricked - soft) when it was updated. However, Samsung helped fix it by resetting it and it works like a charm still.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, good battery life (somewhat), memory

Moving backwards

Wow. They went backwards with this one, in an evolutionary sense. This is about half the machine that the Tab 7 Plus is. I have them both, use them both, and develop on both. They cut the chip back, changed the form factor in terms of making this one heavier and thicker, they took out the flash for the camera. There are two ways this is better than its predecessor: Lower price and newer OS. That's it. Everything else is worse than or same as the old model. Ridiculous.
Pros: Inexpensive, ics
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, bad speakers, lesser chip

lack of memory is a problem

the operating system and samsung apps take up over 4 gigs of memory, so you don't really have much free space available for additional apps and downloads. You can use a 32 gig SD card, but samsung/android won't let you move any apps to the SD card. So with the SD card you can have lots of photos, but still only limited space for any apps or tool that would make this tablet useful. Basically it's real purpose it just to stream movies, check email/facebook, and maybe read ebooks. If that is all you need, then it's an ok tablet, if you want more functionality, find something with better memory flexibility, or a manufacturer that doesn't use up your memory with unwanted apps.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no memory, useless sd card integration

Dead in less than 6 months

Tablet just up and died one day. I did nothing to it. All my data will be lost. If you get this tablet, don't store anything on it that you won't mind losing. So very disappointed.

I received it as a gift from gf n wow have no need for my computer anymore u cant see my with out my tablet its fast easy n very stylish
