Love both my G3 and my Tab

Was happy with the Vibrant phone so naturally went with the Galaxy 3 when it was time to upgrade. But the Tab 2 allows me to more comfortably read books and emails, as well as post on social media apps. It's light weight and can easily be held by one hand.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

OS upgrade
on January 14, 2013

I was really enjoying the unit until the OS was upgraded. Now I need a magnifying glass to read the labels for the icons on the screen. The bottom layout has been split so that more hand movements are required and more accidental screen touches occur. Personally, I prefer the OS that came with the unit. I was planning to upgrade to a 10" but now I'll likely go to an iPad.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: need a magnifying glass with the new os

This is one of the best tablets I have used. Everything has worked as I expected. That has not been true with other devices. The lack of a USB and HDMI port is a small issue, but I can work around all that. Solid feel to the case. Screen solid, switches feel right and the system is responsive to me. Even with my big fingers, the virtual keyboard does a good job.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: no usb or hdmi
I would recommend this to a friend!

P1000 better?
on July 24, 2012

I decided to upgrade to the Tab 2. I owned a P1000 and loved it but thought it was time for something new, I am amazed to find that the functionality of the 1st generation 7 inch Tab is better than the Tab 2,you cant put apps on the memory card, its very easy to mistakenly take screenshots that you dont want. you can only use the SD card to store music, photos, etc. I subscribe to Rhapsody and cant access the options menu in the program, and I also subscribe to flixster for my Ultraviolet movies which i cant download because the Tab wants to store the file on the hard drive and not on the SD card which is 16GB. I am thinking of downgrading back to the P1000, while the fluidity of the Android 4.0 OS is great I would rather have the ability to use the Tab fully not for a couple features here and there,
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, limited functionality, not enough use of external memory
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
