Poor performance and quality

I purchased this refrigerator for my father in October 2014. As soon as the refrigerator hit the 1 year mark the ice maker started dispensing slush and melted ice as well as leaking water outside and inside the refrigerator. One month after getting that fixed we noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling and the deli tray was sticking. upon inspection we found that a huge mound of ice more than an inch thick had formed in the entire bottom of the refrigerator and the entire back of the refrigerator was also completely blocked with ice preventing all air flow. The entire back of the refrigerator was replaced and the unit worked for about a month. Now once again we have the ice maker dispensing slush and leaking water inside the refrigerator as well as dripping through the dispenser. All of the leakage problems have also caused the refrigerator door to rust along the dispense as well as on the bottom. Our one year old refrigerator looks 10 years old. This refrigerator has been nothing but problems and is designed poorly. Unless you have a few thousand dollars laying around for repairs I would urge anyone thinking about purchasing this unit to consider another. We have been very dissatisfied and will not purchase another Samsung product.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, does not work properly.

Nothing but issues

fridge worked great the first year i had it but every sonce its been issue after issue with the ice machine. its been replaced once and now suddenly the water has stopped. too many issues.

Ices up and leaks

The drain line freezes and water floods the refrigerator and then the ice maker starts freezing up. Have added the defrost drain line extension that is said to fix the problem and it still happens. Terrible engineering design.

I have had this refrigerator for 2 years and it already started to have so many problems. After about 14 months, the ice maker keeps freezing and can not make ice. I constantly have to manually clear out the accumulated frozen ice around the box to have the ice maker to make ice for a few days. Inside the refrigerator, water is leaking everywhere. Once a week, I have to clean up to accumulated water under the vegetable trays. Over all, this is the first Samsang appliance for me and I will not buy another one !

We have had this refrigerator for 2 1/2 years. It worked fine for the first 8-9 months, and now it is constantly in need of repair. Thank goodness for we got the extended warranty. The ice maker sucks ( I believe they've replaced the motor twice, and several other "fixes" ). We've had to replace several of the door shelves, but that's not the best part. The best part is, every 30 days or so it starts to hum. then it gets louder, and louder, until it sounds like there's someone with a jack hammer in side. I hate this refrigerator.

We've had our refrigerator for over 3 years so our warranty no longer covers the mass of things that have gone wrong with this refrigerator. First of all, this is our second Samsung refrigerator because the first one died after a year. They replaced the refrigerator because there were numerous leaks coming from a variety of spots. Next, we have had the ice maker go out twice in two years and both times were fixed under warranty. Now our ice maker is going out and no longer covered under warranty. Our last refrigerator lasted 15 years and still worked when we go rid of it. Goes to show manufactures don't make products to last.

Built in December 2014, bought spring 2015, spring 2017 disconnected water from refrigerator for leaking water valve expensive repair. Now Summer 2017 Refrigerator evaporator fan has gone out. I will have this repaired but form the age of this refrigerator this is unacceptable. I will not buy another refrigerator from Samsung!
