I bought this June 2014. Love it in the beginning. I use 4-5 times a week to make breakfast smoothies. I have NEVER used ice in it. Only frozen fruit, fresh greens, yogurt and a liquid. And it usually only takes about 30 seconds and it is done. By November it started making a horrible noise. If I stop it and restart it usually takes care of the noise, but now even on days without the terrible noise it has a bad burning smell. I should of done something when the noise started, 7 months is not long enough for a $100 item to be wearing out when it gets used for minutes a week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product played a big part in the reduction of my cholesterol problems. I don't think it works better than my VitaMix. I can't get all the bits of greens "dissolved." When I want to add nuts or something hard like ginger, I first have to use the chopping blade, and then I can blend the smoothie in the other container. It is great though for salad dressings and sauces. It certainly is easy to clean. It is nice because it takes up less space and easier to transport.

I am a lady long haul truck driver and I LOVE my nutribullet. Not only am I drinking new food, kale, swiss chard, but I am incorporating those foods into my foods that I cook and loving them. I am getting up an hour earlier everyday, and I am loosing weight. Both great things for a woman and even more important for a truck driver. Stop by my truck and I'll make you a smoothy, in addition to that BUY YOUR OWN!!!

If you read the manual, you'll get great results. We keep the NutriBullet on our counter to keep good health top of mind. Tip: using frozen fruits that come in a zip-style bag helps produce cold smoothies, which are more enjoyable. I'm not fond of using ice as I don't want to wear down the motor or blades.

I have gone through 3 blenders in as many years. From the generic brand for less than $30 to the Ninja, and they have ALL stopped working in less than a year! I am not intentionally hard on blenders, I just make a lot of green smoothies! I do a lot of fasts and cleanses so a smoothie is a regular part of my diet. I was thinking about breaking down and investing in a Vitamix until my friend raved about her NutriBullet and suggested I get one. I have only had it a few months (God, I hope it makes it through the year and beyond!) but so far I LOVE it! It is FAR better than any blender. Not only does it blend (or extract) ingredients that include vitamins, but the clean up is a cinch!!! I absolutely love the portable feature of the NutriBullet. Once I make my concoction, all I have to do is screw a lid on it and go! No more searching through the cabinets for a clean travel cup. And, I LOVE that the set includes 3 cups. When I first bought my NutriBullet and opened the box, I was surprised with everything included. I mean, you REALLY get great value for the money that you spend! I highly recommend the NutriBullet -- as I've said, I LOVE this thing!!!
