We have the rubber ring come off during blending and was cut into two pieces. The newer version we were told no longer uses the rubber ring, so would recommend getting that one instead. Otherwise the system works great!

This blender is so much better that the cheaper versions I have tried in the past. It blends better and is sturdier. My only complaint is that I have had the engagement pegs on one cup (the little stubs that push the triggers down in order to engage the engine) break off.
