The third time I used it the base/motor stopped working. I called the designated number and they walked me thru several diagnostics. Finely determined it may have been a "thermal switch?" malfunction. They are sending a new base. I have to pay shipping. Another negative is the two cups/containers included do not have lids, only screw-on handles and rims.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would have liked if there was an option to have an insulated cup. Since there is not, I typically make my drink and then pour it into a different cup. This makes it the same as any other blender on the market, just smaller.
