Drop Tested

Just want to say I stand behind this product 100% I've always had Otter Box products to protect my phones, but have been fortunate enough not to have needed the protection they provide, that is until October 18, 2015. My family and I were at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California. I had just got on the Roller Coster, Full Throttle. Full throttle has the world's tallest vertical loop at 160 feet, or equivalent to a 20 storie building . Well needless to say as I was at the top of this loop, I watched my HTC One M8, protected by the Commuter series Otter Box fall from my back pocket to the cement pad 160 feet below me. Much to the surprise of myself and the Park workers my phone survived the drop with barley a scratch on the case. The park worker said he'd never seen a phone survive that drop. Thank you Otter Box for a quality product.

Better case Than Defender

For those that have a tempered glass screen protector like myself, this case is a far better choice than the Defender. Fits properly, a slightly better selection of color choice, but most important will not fight your screen protector nor interfere with your phones operation at all. Now if Otterbox would just offer more color choices like they do for the stupid iphone and Galaxy S5 all would be well !!!!!!!

Port cover flaw

I've only just installed the cover, so can't speak to the protection yet. However, there is one annoying flaw in the design that might drive you crazy until you discover how to fix it. If you just pop on the covers, there is a gap between them in the lower right near the charging port. You can't plug the phone in until it's installed right.
To fix it/install it properly, put the slipcover on, then put on the shell and pull the port cover flap firmly out through the hole in the outer shell. Just keep wiggling it and it will suddenly slip into place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost Great

This product has always impressed me in the past on other phone makes/models. Bought one for my daughters new HTC M8 phone and the hard shell and inner shell to not fit well together in the lower corner near the flap for access to the cord sockets.
Pros: Durable
Cons: poor fit
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very dissapointed!

I do like the protection and feel of the case. I ordered a blue and white case. When I received the case I realized that the blue is not even close to what I thought I was going to get. I am very disappointed! From the other Otter Box products I have seen, they have all matched the color shown on the website very closely.
Pros: Durable
Cons: color does not match website.
