Wish I had got one sooner

I needed to replace my old medium sized standard refrigerator and my daughter recommended that I look at a French door model. So I spent weeks reading reviews and product information until I narrowed it down to 3 or 4 units. I then took several field trips see them at the retail stores. After looking at them my decision was a Samsung French door. I chose the one that does not have the water and ice through the door because I needed the interior as large as possible. I am very impressed with the unit. I have only had it for 2 weeks but I really like the size and features. I especially like the design of the bottom freezer compartment. The drawer slides out extremely easy versus some of the other brands I looked at. The light levels in the unit are very bright which are welcome for these aging eyes. The unit is very quiet and does a good job a maintaining the set temperature. I also like the door alarm as I have two grandchildren living with me at present and they sometimes forget to shut the door all the way. So far I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

Great Product

So far we really like this product. The only complaint is the particular stainless that is used shows fingerprints really easily, the functionality and overall quality is great.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, inside design is very functional
Cons: shows fingerprints easily

IN LOVE with this fridge

I decided to buy stainless steel appliances to upgrade the look of my kitchen. I found this samsung french door fridge which I absolutely LOVE. It has so much room! No joke, I fit almost everything in my previous fridge (which wasn't tiny by any means) in just the doors of this fridge! So much room for all kinds of food! I love that it comes with the water dispenser and it was a great value! The LED lights are like walking into a party every time I open the fridge.The pull out drawer freezer is great, as well. So much room inside of there too! Beyond happy with my purchase!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive

I love that there is such more space than my side-by-side, and I don't feel "cramped" when I'm trying to put things inside! Also, like that I can see everything that I have in there without any obstructions!

This product does not work correctly

Have owned this Samsung refrigerator for right at 2 years. Since purchasing it new, the freezer section has had numerous problems. We have had 7 service calls and it is still not fixed. The ice maker has been replaced twice, yet the cubes freeze together after a day or two. The packages in the freezer cabinet become coated in frost and they wind up stuck together. If not for an extended service policy, this would have been a financial nightmare in addition to having to chisel our frozen food and ice cubes apart. Our Samsung washer and dryer, purchased at the same time as the refrigerator, have also had the need for several service calls. In our case, it was a mistake to purchase Samsung.
Pros: Bright display, nice appearance
Cons: Did not meet expectations, numerous break downs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this thing is huge compared to my old fridge

So far this has been a great fridge. We have had it for a month now. The space in it the french door is unbelievable i had room for everything in my old fridge and then some. Most of that fit in the door bins. Each of the veggie drawers will hold 18 cans of Bud light. then a case of cokes on the shelf with plenty of room left. Gallon milk jugs and juice bottles fit in the doors. The drinking water is inside but easily accessible and you can really tell the difference in the taste. The only issue I have is that the ice maker when it gets full starts to dump out the back and into the lower section of the freezer.
Pros: roomy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the shelves and the one that extracts half way to give more space. Control location good as is filter replacement. Freezer space very good as is ice features. Would like to have cold water button a little larger and toward door a little. Overall very good refrigerator.
