I waited too long to start water flossing!

It's about two weeks since I bought my flosser/sonic toothbrush combo. (WP 900) I love it. My wife has a Waterpik she purchased 7 years and many parts purchases ago. She is thrilled with her dental health...but it wasn't always that way. Before she began using it, at the strong recommendation of her dental surgeon, she needed dental implants and gum augmentation. She suffered from halitosis. All of those problems cured with her old WaterPik 100!
She even bought one of the older ones for me about 5 yrs ago. I never turned on!
Fast forward to this year (2016) in January and my six mo dental check up. I've always been lucky not to have many cavities, but tartar thick as concrete. Due to my use of a spin brush electric toothbrush, once a day, with little to no flossing, I was in much better shape this exam than last, 6 months ago. But gum pockets and sore spots were still a problem. I'm 70 years old. I always teased the dental assistants that at my age the teeth were the least of my worries, and the gums would heal before I died.
Now I wasn't as cocky. After all I might last another 20 years and my gums did not reflect a use-by date much farther away than 2020!
My therapists said that my "best, maybe only," solution, was a water Pik daily cleansing at and below my entire gum line. A local retailer had the WP 900 on sale. Both the sonic brush and water flosser in one unit! I was sold. 10 days later I went back to the store and bought a second one, for my wife, so she could upgrade from her worn out model.
Never looked back...and I'm proud to say I use the system twice a day anymore. My mouth is in the best health ever, and so is my wife's. It is a must have for us!

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO EXPERIENCE TOTAL CLEANLINESS IN KEEPING MY TEETH AT THEIR BEST .THE HARD TO REMOVE FOOD PARTICLES EMBEDDED IN AREAS OF MY TEETH THAT A REGULAR TOOTH BRUSHING MISSES. THANK YOU WATERPIC

I am 51 yrs old and have NEVER had a cavity because I am vigilant about oral hygene. However, as I age I find it harder to keep my teeth clean. My dental hygenist friend and neighbor recommended this product to me. I am extremely happy with the results. I put warm water and a cap full of mouthwash in the resevoir and the result is a cleaning like only the dentist can give. We went of a one week vacation and I only took the sonic toothbrush and I was very pleased with my clean mouth. Great product. A must have if you want a really clean mouth.

The tubing from the baser to the WaterPIk wand is too short. Another few feet of tubing would allow for greater flexibility in base location and a greater ease of use. Also more than one tooth brush should accompany the initial purchase package.
