Setup is nothing short of awful

You have to use the remote as a wireless pointer, and point to icons on the screen. This will wind up like Windows 8; that is, it will die, and everyone will cheer.
The voice recognition system is difficult to set up, the tech people know very little about it, and are of no help. Thus, this does not serve as a way to avoid the horrible remote.
The interface with the Samsung smartphone app, Smart View works poorly. It will not find the TV unless you shut the TV off first. It will not find all the music on your phone, or videos, only some of them.
The TV picture quality is fine, but I will probably return the TV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been a loyal user of Samsung TVs for many years and my recent purchase of the UHD JU7100 does not disappoint. Crystal clear picture. Great sounds. Great smart TV features. The pointing tool on the remote is quite a handy feature. The 2D to 3D conversion feature is quite fun. The addition of the wireless keyboard means I can surf the web right from my TV. Now may laptop is jealous.
If I had to think of one "negative" is that this model TV does not come with 3D glasses. Those must be purchased separately. But given the value of this TV that was a small price to pay.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable
Cons: no 3d glasses included

Great picture

You get a great picture out of the box, but remeber to activate the 4k upscaling in menu. Love the remote very compact and easy to navigate the menus.

Navigation is excellent on this 7100, hooked up with lan cable which made it a bit snappier.

Wonderful picture, Easily set up. Love the stand look. Remote takes some thinking but getting used to it quickly. Great value for the money.

I have never owned a larger TV and was affraid that the picture would look terrible so large. But no complaints absolutely beautiful. I feel like I am at the movies.

We bought this to replace a 9-year-old plasma set and are very happy with our purchase thus far. Great picture and extensive features. I am still playing around with the various settings, but I used some online suggestions to set the picture so it looks good. It connected easily and integrates well with my 6-year-old Blu-Ray home theater system even that is from another manufacturer. I'm still exploring all this set has to offer.
