Great little speaker!

Honestly this speaker is amazing for its size, sounds too good to be true. Perfect speaker for a bedroom. The fact that you can also connect two jbl clips together is even better. Very satisfied overall. Sounds better than my macbook pro speakers (mid 2012) Battery life is also pretty good (max volume: 2.5 hours avg) Clarity is definitely there. Best quality speaker you can find for its size. Trust JBL! Rate: 4.4/5

Innovative but lacking

I used it primarily on my bicycle and This is my third one after i warrentied the first two. It's a great product, fun to have, and the sound quality is great. But the first one i had would not stay connected bluetooth which i tried with several phones. Then the second one had a stronger connection most of the time but the speaker blew out after a few months. So now on to the third: it's working fine after a couple of months but the biggest piece of advice i can give you is DO NOT PLAY THIS THING LOUD IF YOU PLAN ON HAVING IT LAST ANYWHERE NEAR 5 HOURS. I turn mine up all the way then two clicks down and on my phone i'm three notched away from max volume. That's the loudest it will allow me to go if i want to bluetooth connection to last and for this thing to hold battery life. Auxiliry is obviously a more secure connection but the battery still dies very fast on max volume so be careful of that.

A friend gave me this speaker for a early birthday gift(56 going on 57). Sounds great and all that, but after clipping to a plastic coat hanger and trying to remove on 2nd day the clip broke. Received 6/14, used briefly 6/15, and broke on the morning of 6/16.

Dies SUPER fast

As other people have been saying, I literally got this speaker in May, 2016 and it is July, 2016 and it dies after like 30 minutes of use. It is so annoying.

The CLIP has power saving features. If the speaker does not detect an audio signal it will turn off. So, if you have the volume on the CLIP cranked up, and the volume on your source device set really low, it is very possible that the CLIP is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the CLIP down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your source device to get to the level you desire. This will send a signal to the CLIP and it should stay on without any issues. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Keeps shutting off

JBL has superior audio quality and this little clip is no exception. My only issue with it is it keeps shutting off while playing via bluetooth. Even if the battery is fully charged it just shuts off randomly several times during listening. I feel like I have a defective one. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise it gets a 5 star.

The CLIP has power saving features. It is auto sensing and will turn off if no audio signal is detected for approximately 10 minutes.

Great sound for few minutes.

Unfortunately, the battery doesn't hold much. On Bluetooth on full loudness about 15 minutes, or on lower power a bit longer, and then on a wire for some other 10-15 minutes, but always turns off when on full loudness.

Battery Must have malfunctions

I bought this speaker a few years back. Occasionally I pull it out and use it, lately it will not hold a charge. I can only use it if it's plugged into an outlet otherwise it continuously turns itself off. Won't be buying one of these again. I will say for the first year or two it did ok. Another issue is the charging cable it comes with is maybe a foot, probably less. Does not make it easy to charge from every outlet.
