I bought this as it was on sale. I was looking for a smaller sized Bluetooth speaker for hiking and biking yet wanted something that sounded good and rugged. I'm very pleased with the sound it puts out. Easy to use. Small and lightweight as I was looking for. Also good quality sound and feel to product. This will be used on a backpack while biking, hiking, and probably pool or lakeside. Good choice and purchase made.

I bought this a couple of months ago and have been very impressed by the sound and the speaker phone functionality. I didn't realise how much a portable speaker phone that was separate from my mobile would come in handy. I have now used it for a number of conference calls and the audio quality is far superior to my mobile speaker phone. I highly recommend this product. It represents excellent value.

At first I was getting disappointing that the battery wasn't lasting long enough like it was saying in the starters’ guide (5hrs). Even if I charged it for 2hrs, it wouldn't last more than 2hrs playing. So I was about to return it and then I had an idea....thinking to myself maybe I should charge it for more at least 6hrs and so I did. I turned it on played it @12 taps (3 quarts full volume) pretty loud...ladies and gentlemen it worked, around 4hrs 05min red light turn on it lasted 4hrs 55min before fully draining the battery. So I highly suggest charging it for at 6hrs or more before using it right out of the package. Just to warm up the battery since its brand spanking new. Oh one more thing you are going to need or buy a "5 volt AC/USB adapter" it doesn't charge good with a computer or laptop. If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod you can use that AC adapter to charge it. I don't know if other cells have 5 volts AC adapters. Just make sure its a 5 volt AC/USB adapter . You can also use it while charging but don't recommend it because if you want to take it on the road maybe battery won't fully charge. I had lots of trouble turning it on and off cause the starters guide doesn’t have any instructions don’t know why. So this is how you turn it on. Double tap the power button and to turn it off the same double tap power button. I also suggest if you are using it with an iPhone, iPad or iPod to pair it. Do not let it search by itself. Tap the Bluetooth Paring Button and when it appear select it, because if you don't it will be skipping and stopping all the time.
I'm giving this product 4 stars because it need stuff to be included with the product. Here is the list: 1. Instruction or Owners guide 2. Longer USB charging cable 3. A/C USB adapter 4. Carring case or pouch
PS yes I'm keeping it, 4hrs is good enough for me.

Got mine last week. I love listening to music. Wasn't expecting for a small speaker to have a great sound quality. Inexpensive yet convenient. It's Bluetooth easily connects to my paired device. For the enhancement, I'd suggest having slightly embossed buttons so I just have to feel them (rather than look) especially while on the move.

Got as a gift for my birthday. I love it and i use it a lot, especially because i commute to work and school on my bicycle. though i wish the buttons for volume had some type of abration or a dot because i like to keep my eyes on the road rather focusing on looking for the volume keys. Also would it be possible to add a forward and restart button? that would greatly add to the usercfriendly-ness

I purchased this about two weeks ago....I absolutely love the size and sound and convenience of this speaker. Love it for the beach, pool, and outdoors. The shape is great and it fits so well n my pocketbook. It has a hook right in the sturdy handle. Everyone that sees it cannot believe that the sound is combing from this little speaker. Excellent buy for the money Well worth It.

Big Sound from a little speaker

This little speaker puts out very smooth and relatively full sound for its size. I could not believe the volume this was capable of putting out with little to no distortion (depending on the bass originally recorded onto the track). I have spent hours at local retailers (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.) comparing this speaker to others in the same range. This one wins out over most speakers and rivals the sound of speakers costing twice as much. Only on volume level does it not beat others (it only has one speaker). To keep cost down the controls are soft buttons that kind be a pain to deal with (minor). You can connect to this speaker via 3.5 mm if needed and you can also connect an additional speaker with this speakers built in 3.5mm plug. It is very sturdy and has rubberized material around the sides and bottom of speaker. Believe it or not, you will use the clip feature (if you do not use a separate carbineer). Some reviewers mentioned that the music stops and skips sometimes. This has happened to me on occasion. One reviewer mentioned that he cleared up this problem by pairing/connecting by pressing the BT button on the speaker every time he uses the speaker. He did not let it search automatically. Another reviewer mentioned that for outdoors this speaker is not loud enough. Depending on the location/activity I agree. He mentioned beats pill…WRONG…the pill distorts at any decent volume. Get a second JBL clip and plug them into each other…or…buy the JBL Flip 2. I have that one and it is very loud! Used it at a bar-b-que and it was plenty loud. It states battery life of 5 hours…ain’t going to happen UNLESS you are listening to a soft music with stretches of low volume instrument playing. Rock n roll, rap, nope…2 to 2.5 hours maximum. All speakers over rate the battery charge life. Do what I did…buy a 2600 mAh external battery back (Wal-Mart has two 2,000 mAh external battery packs for $10). Plug it into the speaker and you will get 6 hours of listening at max volume easy. Larger charging units will of course give you more time. FOR THE MONEY…this is the speaker to get.
