Great speaker... when it works...

I was given this product as a birthday present in September, 2015. Since then I've had a couple of issues with it. Firstly, if I attempt to connect the speaker to my laptop via bluetooth it won't play music through the speaker. It's evident that it's connected to my laptop as it simply shows up in settings, however there will be times I'm lucky and it will play through the speakers, with no hassle; but unfortunately there will also be times it will randomly stop playing through them.
Secondly, I've noticed ever since I've had the speaker that the bluetooth range is quite poor. For example, if i was to play music through them I'd have to keep it in a certain spot, otherwise the sound starts to cut off and skips.
Overall it is a great product (when it works), especially for the price! I guess I was just given a dodgy one. I'd give the product an excellent star rating if it wasn't for a couple of flaws.

Thank you for your review, I do understand your frustration, unfrotunately this would be a window driver issue not all windows will support any other blutetooth drivers. Amazing sound for compact size

I checked various brands and decided on the Flip2 based on experience with my home stereo JBL Control 1G speakers. The Flip2 provides excellent sound quality across almost all registers. It's powerful enough to replace my home stereo. Great deal and very happy with my purchase!

Does not charge

I have purchased these speakers a year ago. But, since couple of weeks it is dropping charging randomly and won't charge at all. I had tried different charges but still the speakers won't charge. JBL please help me

Loud Sound from a Versatile Speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Flip 2 quickly became my favorite portable sized speaker. It's small enough to put just about anywhere but pack some loud sound. The battery last a decent amount of time at full volume, and with MicroUSB, I don't need to carry extra chargers with me. The NFC makes it super easy to pair. My computer speakers recently gave out and I have replaced them with an AUX cable and this speaker. Best decision I've made.

No sound

Only used the product for a few months and it will no longer play sound. It will charge and turn on, shows that it's connected...but no sound will play at all. Also, unless the speaker is right next to my phone or laptop, it did not produce quality sound.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
