Should be better...

I recently purchased this item in hopes to have portable music while working outdoors or in my garage and this item is a total fail. The sound quality is about a 4 out of 5 at this price point, but that is the only good thing the JBL flip 2 has going for it. My biggest complaint is the battery life, I would give negative stars for that if I could. Considering the size you would expect the flip 2 to have a decent battery and live up to the estimated 5 hour battery life....Not even close!!! I have yet to get more than an hour and a half of battery life on this device which totally negates the entire reason I made the purchase to begin with. If it only took 10 minutes to charge then the short battery life wouldn't be a big deal but it takes every bit of the 3 hours to charge. Save your money and buy something that will last and has a longer play time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great speaker. 2 things I do not like about it.

This speaker sounds great and really cranks out. 2 gripes though:
1. The loud beep noise when you first turn it on. I like to use this speaker on an electronic game caller when I'm hunting.
2. The auto power off! What's up with that? I want it on from the moment I power it up until the battery is dead. Don't need to hear that loud, annoying BEEP again powering it back on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesnt charge

Takes forever to fully charge, then when i unplug it, it dies right away.

Not Charging

My JBL Flip 2 WAS my favorite speaker. It had amazing sound clarity and quality for its size, could play for hours, and is aesthetically great. However, after about a month of use it encountered charger issues. I tried several different chargers, most of which prompted a red light followed by speaker shut off. Others looked as if they were charging but only lit the bottom LED. I thought this was better than nothing. Unfortunately, it only kept the speaker on for about 30 seconds. For such a great speaker, it is disappointing to have only been able to use it for a month or so. As it was a gift I do not hold a warranty. As I have searched for solutions online, I have found this seems to be a pretty common glitch with this particular model. At least I enjoyed the gift while it lasted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Sound but...

My uncle bought this for me under a year ago, & now it won't charge anymore :/ really upsetting, I used it almost everyday

Sounds great, loved it until it stopped holding it's battery life. I would charge it till it was 100% and then it would only last 30 min max. Disappointed for how much I paid. Only reason I would recommend to others is I am assuming mine is a defect.

Pretty good for the most part

I got this as a preset for Christmas last year and everything was fine and dandy until about 4 months into having it the charger only worked if I put it a certain way. Now about a year later since I've had the speaker the cable doesn't work at all. So now I use a charger for a phone & when I use the one for the phone it doesn't hold change.
I would recommend this to a friend!
