Abysmal Battery life

My boyfriend received this as an xmas present and we were very excited as the quality of the sound and the overall design are great. Just after a few months of use however we started having problems with the speakers at it never seems to hold charge. Impossible to use it not and although it is practically brand new we can no longer use it. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery issue.

I won this speaker on a raffle at work, had it for 2 weeks and now the battery dies quickly. Don't have receipt to claim under warranty, this is a very poor piece of equipment.

great sound outstanding design love this speaker

I received this great jbl flip 2 speaker it has very impressing sound it is built like a tank with quilty materials I love my speaker that I gave my nephew my old beats plus speaker because this jbl flip blows the beats pill plus away better sound well built it's built like a tank one thing that bothers me it starts to cut out at ten feet away from my phone or tablets I don't know why I also own the jbl charge 3 and I don't have that problem I could be 30 feet away and it does not cut off I don't know what the problem is with the flip 2 it's only about a month old

Great sound but will not hold a charge.

We received this for a Christmas present last year. We really liked it and it sounded great for our home. A year and a half later, it is not holding a charge which is very disappointing. I would expect a JBL product to last over a year (JBL quality is one reason we asked for it). It will work if it is plugged in but we often sit outside and listen to music so it's very disappointing it's not holding a charge.

Charging Port Sucks

I bought this speaker 8 months ago. Whenever I try to charge it. All the five small led lights flashes and the next second it dies. I am using the charging cable which came in the box. The charger seems to be loose for the port. We pay you guys for good quality music but please use better quality parts. Now i have to throw it in trash and waste of money.

Worked great. Not anymore!

It worked great. Now it won't charge. When it's plugged, I can turn it on and connects to Bluetooth. But no sound. Tried everything.

Sorry to hear you're having issue with our product. Try using a different charging cable and try alternating where you are charging the FLIP 2 (i.e wall outlet, USB ports on laptops/computer) and let it charge until the white LEDs (Battery Level Indicator) become solid. Regarding the pairing issue, please try the following steps to possibly fix it.

1. Unpair/Forget the FLIP 2 from your source device.
2. Turn the source device completely off.
3.Switch the source device back ON.
4.Turn the source device completely OFF "AGAIN". (this is important)
5.Switch the source device back ON.
6.Pair the FLIP 2 with your source device.

If these don't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist you.

Disappointed

I've had the flip 2 around 6 months. I'm not exactly sure I can't find the receipt so I'm stuck with it. It was awesome with great sound. It won't charge & wont work even plugged in. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT. It's totally useless.

I bought this model and it no longer charges. No idea why. There is no damage. It was a great sounding product.
