Will not charge

We bought this about a year ago just to set in the kitchen. There is an issue with the USB charger port on ours. It worked for about 3 months, then we had to hold the charger cord in the device "just right", then it didn't take a charge. Sound was good but it is now useless. Out of warranty and can't recharge it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointed. Tried 2 different chargers and neither will work. Have yet to be able to even use it 1 time.

You can use it as a simple bluetooth speaker for you ipod or as a speaker to make your favorite TV shows boom. The AUX input is an excellent feature. GREAT speaker!

"Good wireless bluetooth speaker" with (NFC).

I'm very happy with my purchase of the JBL flip 2. For such a small device this little speaker offers alot. For example NFC pairing and a UCB outlet on the device that let's you charge your JBL Flip 2 while driving and a speakerphone that sounds great. The JBL Flip 2 looks great and is quality built. Compared to other top brand named device's that I heard before I bought my JBL Flip 2 it stands out from the rest of them. This device beats them all in it's price range this little device has alot of power to it and sounds very clear. The JBL Flip 2 to me is definitely worth the money their asking for it. My only problem the product is the battery life on it. The battery lasts about five hours at best. Other than that everything on JBL flip 2 exceeded my expectations on such a small device. I would highly recommend the JBL Flip 2 to anyone looking for a good Bluetooth wireless speaker with NFC pairing and a speakerphone at a good price.

Draw dropping sound quality (better than beats pill, which is twice the price)
gets really loud
Bluetooth, NFC, and wired pairing
Cons:
Does not come with audio jack for wired connection

Best speaker in price range, hoping Jbl ups the battery life on generations to come but still a solid portable speaker, have been pleased with Jbl products in past, never disappointed
