Great Fridge with serious water problems

The water from this fridge stops working about every 2 weeks. It appears to be freezing up when the ice overfills toward the front. I live alone so only use water/ice about 8 times a day. It used to correct itself overnight if I emptied the ice tray but that seems not to work now. Temperature is set to -2 and 38 as per instructions. This is a serious flaw to me as it was one of the major reasons I purchased it.
The other parts/uses of this product are wonderful. Great lighting in all areas, love the middle drawer where I mostly store canned drinks sitting upright. Freezer iw large and I was surprised how much room there was in the refrigerator part. I also really like the right door design where constantly used items can be placed where they can be accessed without totally opening the door. Great idea! This would be a 5 if water worked.

We did a lot of research into buying a new refrigerator and ended up with our first side by side and bottom freezer model. Went with the Sammy because of the features and owner reliability reviews. It has been operational for about 3 months now. Love the center slide out drawer with separate temp control, the easy access door for frequently used items (was a little worried if this design would keep the food and beverages cold enough ... but no worry ... it keeps my beer icey), the dual drawer freezer and the two function water and ice dispenser (don't have to push a button to change from ice to water ... nice!!). It appears to be well made and sturdy with strong door hinges and drawer slides. The front is a high grade stainless steel as opposed to other brands with cheap SS (magnets will not stick to it).
The unit is a bit pricy and I am not sure how it is going to handle electrical voltage spikes. After all, it is a piece of electronic equipment and not like the refrigerators of 20 years ago. I hope Sammy has put some protection fuses in there somewhere. Those are the only reasons i did not give it 5s across the board. If after 5 or so years and the electronics have not been fried, then i have no problem with the price. I'll gladly pay for a design that will last.
All in all a remarkable leap forward in refrigerator technology. Very pleased with the unit so far.

Amazing refrigerator

My husband is in a wheelchair so appliance design is very important. This refrigerator has easy door access for water and ice. You can open the right hand door and access 4 areas without opening the main refrigerator. We keep ready drinks, snacks,etc here . This area is kept at the same temp as the main cavity. I love this feature especially with kids and my husband.
The door handles are solid and easy to reach. The doors, while they are well made, are not heavy to open even fully loaded. The cool select pantry feature allows you to store sandwich fixings, cheese,butter,etc. There are 2 separate bins for produce.
I have to admit I am not loving the bottom freezer since I hurt my back. But when in good health, this drawer rocks. It has a sliding drawer within it that let's us store frozen dinners,icecream,and other flatter items. The main compartment holds a lot of food and keeps it very frozen.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, great for a disabled person or family with kids

We love the outside refrigerator door. We use it to store the kid's juice boxes and school lunch items. And there is plenty of room for Mom's wine! We took out the top shelf from the double door so we could fit additional taller items. We put it in the freezer to store smaller items we wanted to get to quickly. We are very happy with our purchase.

I Love This Fridge!

We love this refrigerator. It cooled immediately following delivery and has kept our food and vegetables fresh. I have been complemented on the way it looks. My favorite feature is the stainless steel interior. My kids love the middle flex door and how easy they can access their favorite snacks and drinks. The showcase door is awesome too..easy to access milk and other condiments quickly.

I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago and have been exceptionally happy with it so far! From looks to functionality, this fridge has it all. There is a ton of storage room in it, and is designed beautifully to accomodate a lot of food!
The refrigerator cooled down within 30 minutes to the desired temperature, making it easy to transition food from my old fridge to this new one.
I absolutely love the extra large deli drawer it is equipped with. The separate temperature control feature on the drawer is awesome because it provides versatility with what you can put in it.
The LED lighting inside the refrigerator is nice and bright, reaching each shelf equally.
I love the showcase door because it allows me to access everyday items easily, without losing all of the cool air from the refrigerator.
This fridge is most definitely the centerpiece of my kitchen, and has inspired an entire remodel. Awesome job with this one Samsung!!!

Bought the fridge for good features, which it clearly has. Most important to me were the large bottom sliding freezer doors. Very handsome product. Very easy replacement of water filter. Would give five stars there is no such thing as an excellent product, just very good.
