Amazing, little strange when turned up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had gotten this and used for quiet everyday use. I decided to try and crank it up, and it ended up cracking. The amount of bass in this little speaker is amazing though. Could not believe the quality of this little speaker.

Great features and sound, just shorts out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shorts out if charging with any cable other than original manufacturer cable. Should have been made to charge with a variety of cables. Sounds great though when it does work.

All JBL portable speakers, including the FLIP 2, use the standard USB connectors, which is the one that goes into the charging ports. If you plug them in to an adapter which also has a standard USB receptacle, it is possible that it will not fit snugly as it was not really made for the FLIP 2 but as long as the pins inside connects well inside the port, it should work. If the charging cable fits charging ports on laptops or computers and you are able to charge your speaker, then it is not defective. If it also does not fit well on them, chances are the the USB pins inside the metal connector is broken or defective. If that is the case, the charging cable needs to be replaced. For warranty claims, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

Great quality, but won't charge right.

I've had the flip 2 for quite a while now and everything works great except the charging feature. I plug it into an outlet and it won't charge. It'll turn the speaker on and it takes me several attempts to try to get it to work. Sometimes it'll look like it's charging but doesn't at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped Charging

The speaker suddenly stopped charging today. It wouldn't even turn on while being connected to external power supply. I know products are usually supposed to wear out but I didn't expect it to fail just two years after I purchased it. I purchased it in a different country and now won't be able to get any support. Unfortunately I'm stuck with a brick. Never buying JBL again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
