Great Dryer

This is the companion product for the large load capacity top load washer. It runs very quietly. Whether by design or an improved exit air flow, the lint filter seems to be picking up more material per load than our previous dryer. This improvement along with better sensors are reducing the dry time, no matter the setting. If the load is dry, the machine shuts itself off. We are very pleased

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer a month ago and am generally happy with the performance. However, I am not a great fan of the pre-programmed options.
Pros:

The controls are oddly "over-engineered". I love technology, but not when it gets in my way. I would much prefer if there were three dials (desired dryness; temp setting; time) and I could choose whatever combination works for me. As it is, the system has preset options that were surely intended to be helpful, but are more of an obstacle. E.g.
1. when using the dryness sensor, you are locked into limited temperature selections - med-high and ultra-low are not an option at all.
2. When you select air-dry (i.e. no heat), it automatically chooses 30 min; if you want to change the duration of air-dry, do not use the "time dry" button as it will automatically change the temp to high. Not good if you were planning to air-dry your delicates!

Worked only two weeks!

Dryer only worked for two weeks! Good luck getting it serviced in Ocean County New Jersey! Don't depend on Alpha Appliance repair! They don't show up!

Works better than my old dryer

Seems gas dryers are going away. I had to wait a week to get our gas dryer. It was a little difficult for us to figure out and the instructions did not answer some question we had. Information seemed to be in several different places. We found answers with instructions and also had to look on line. It would be nice to have a better instruction book. Once we figured out the setting we discovered it dries clothes better than our old dryer and they are softer than before. Just wished it would alarm when drying is done before it started the wrinkle out cycle.
We also wished the door could be positioned to open from the top, instead from the side. If it opens from the top, when pulling clothes out they would not fall on the floor and you have a table to sort clothes on.

This dryer is quiet while running, and I love the little tune it plays when the cycle is complete. It took a few cycles to adjust the drying cycle for my clothes, and noticed that it completes a full drying cycle in less time than my old dryer. It can easily handle large towel loads 7+ beach towels.
The 27.5in width allowed it to fit through the doors in my older home!
The only thing that was frustrating was trying to level the dryer during installation. It was hard to turn the front and back feet in the tight spot that it is located in. It would be nice if the feet auto leveled like my washer. My basement floor is not level, because it is an old home.

Quiet drying and efficient

My last one kept breaking so it had to be replaced. This LG is great!
I like the light inside so I can see if all items are out. The lint trap is easy to clean. The cycles and adjustable settings make it easy to get the right amount of time needed to dry things without over drying.
It's very quiet and plays a tune when done! But only if you want it to.
Pros: easy to use

I have been more than satisfied with the dryer. It is easy to program and every load of clothes comes out perfectly. This is a quality dryer and its performance is outstanding.
