Was my wifes dream refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Water dispenser quit working at 13 months, and ice dispenser became intermittent at two years. Very hard to diagnose but found that wires had broken inside the door. Very expensive to repair. It was too bad because the frig is awesome but when you spend that kind of money you hope it will last for years...

Stopped cooling round two

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the “Black Diamond Package” in 10/15 but the refrigerator was back ordered LMXS30776D. It was delivered 12/15, two years later it quit cooling on Christmas Day. On 1/15/18 the compressor was replaced. Round two. On 11/10/18 it stop cooling again Very Frustrating!!! Right now Life is not Good!

compressor out and freon leak after 2 years

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 1/2 years ago and it broke down twice already. Both of the times the compressor went out, and each time it took one month to get it fixed. What a nightmare! It’s a good thing we have an extra refrigerator in our garage to keep most of the goods but we did have to throw away some because there was no room to keep them. This was the worst investment ever! I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this refrigerator because it’s obvious from the reviews that this refrigerator has compressor problems.

BEWARE DONT BUY

Bought this a couple of years ago with an extended warranty. The compressor failed in April.Its now mid July. They have been to my house seven times since April and its never been repaired. The latest part they are going to throw at it is another compressor the last one was the wrong one says LG.Compressor failures are very common with LG.I am wondering how much longer this can go on before they replace it. Two visits ago an LG rep said this is the last visit. It will be fixed or you get a one. Of course that was a big lie. Still waiting for the third compressor to be installed.Would give zero stars

Substandard warranty repair

Called customer support almost 3 weeks ago as refrigerator was not cooling and I had conducted troubleshooting as directed in manual. My wife conducted 1st phone call to 0 resolution. (This was almost 3 weeks ago). I called the next day and they finally scheduled a NON LG technician to come out 4 days later. I called back and told then that waiting 4 EXTRA days was unacceptable. They scheduled an LG technician for 2 days later. All food in refrigerator LOST and they would reimburse $200 for food loss, AFTER repairs were completed. I took time off of work in order for technician to repair my refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and said it SHOULD be at proper temps in 24 hours. We waited for the additional 24 for hours, AGAIN, not able to buy food (eating out). Called the 3rd time to inform then that it still was NOT properly cooling and they scheduled the same technician to return. (Almost 2 weeks without a working refrigerator). Tech NOW says that Now the condenser is leaking. He replaces condenser and is on phone with who I take is a supervisor or another technician as after he replaces condenser, it is STILL not properly cooling as the readings on is screen are NOT correct. Whomever he is speaking to evidently tells him what needs to do and I hear him say "that will be an ALL day repair, and he is not NOT staying here all day. He admits to me that when he replaced the condenser, when he soldered or welded the new component, it must have gotten too hot and plugged an oriface stopping freon ?? flow and had to repair that. He leaves and says to wait 24 MORE hours to see if it is cooling properly. So, here we are going on almost 3 weeks, NO refrigerator or freezer to use as designed. I call back tonight Saturday, the day that I am told that NO supervisors are available on weekends. Ann, the lady I was speaking to would NOT provide her last name or employee numbers for my reference. Now she has to submit to their resolution department to see if my refrigerator can be replaced under warranty. BUT a technician needs to come out, FOR the 3rd Time to determine if it needs to be replaced. I also wast told by Ann, that she would submit this information to resolution department, (who ALSO do NOT work weekends and DO NOT have a direct phone number for customers. AFTER it gets to resolution department, it is up to them to determine if it can be replaced. NO idea how long that takes or when I asked for a different technician, was informed that the process starts ALL OVER AGAIN. Will NOT reimburse for the 2, or possibly 3 days taken off from work. Since I asked for a different technician, I was NOT given a new date for a technician to show up. TOTALLY UNSATISFIED!! Hopefully some Corporate person will read this and resolve my issue. Stopped working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought out LG Refrigerator about 30 months ago and I have been noticing for some time that the food is not as cold as I would like,but just assumed that it was probably from opening it often. Two days the whole thing died, lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer . I am in the process of cleaning out all the defrosted food in my freezer and everything in the refrigerator.
I am really dissappointed with LG before this every refrigerato every onne I have had for the past 50 years has lasted for many years, one sears lasting for 20 years.
I don't know if it is worth fixing

worst compressor in the world

for the first 3 years this fridge worked very nice. but now this year, I have had 2 failed compressors. food wasted, lots of clean up to do because of it not cooling and trying to get a repair if you can wait for 2 weeks. while the fridge is very large in size, do note that if your compressor fails (and it appears many of us have had that happen) there is also a lot wasted. if a service center schedules appointments for LG 2 weeks out, it is also a bit of a concern. would recommend you look at a different brand as LG doesnt provide for good customer service and their quality is not very good on this model with the inverter/compressor (it is silent though when it works, but it becomes a microwave in temperature and noise when it fails).
