[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because my previous one stayed way to warm all the time. Consumer report also said that LG has a good track record. And I am glad we bought LG refrigerator. It stays cold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While new, I am extremely happy with this choice. Excellent cooling and freezing and the in door ice maker is a real space saver. The water dispenser is a unique design allowing the use of any size container. The led lighting in the refrigerator plus both drawers is exceptional. The drawers slide out easily and the freezer has a good deal of space. The ice dispenser drops ice quickly and doesn’t drip! Ice maker recovery time seems to be quick. Additionally, this refrigerator is very quiet...I can barely hear it when the compressor is running. Overall a great purchase and I hope to get years of good service.

LG 30 cu ft Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just got this LG 30 cu. ft., 4 door refrigerator and are very happy with it. There are so many features, it’s hard to now where to start. The fully adjustable shelves in the refrigerator area make it so versatile and will adapt to any size container. And the front half of one shelf will slide to the rear in case you have that occasional taller than usual bottle of whatever. And the LED lights on the inside are amazing. The doors are thicker than most and the left door houses the usual door shelves, but, behind those is where the ice maker and water filter are housed. This makes it really convenient to replace the water filter or deal with any problem that might arise with the ice maker. The right door is where the door-in-door is located. This is where you store items that you use most often so you don’t open an entire door to get to your milk, ketchup, butter, etc. The custom chill drawer can be set up to chill very thing from fruit, to bottled water to wine. We haven’t figured out exactly what we’ll use it for. The freezer has a deep drawer and two more shallow drawers inside so you can separate and categorize foods. We use the deep section for meats and larger items and the two shallow drawers keep our vegetables in one and deserts in the other. I think LG is able to use all the space effectively because of the Linear Compressor is so much smaller than conventional compressors. The compressor combined with the digital temperature controls greatly reduces electrical consumption. After all the great things about this fridge, there are two tings that could be improved. The water dispenser needs to be reengineered so a light could be placed above it. The present configuration doesn’t allow any room above the water for a light. And, the LG ad says the stainless color is finger print resistant. Well, I disagree. The finish picks up finger prints very easily but, they aren’t difficult to remove like on untreated stainless.

Review after 2-3 years of use
on January 8, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bougth this refrigerator almost 3 years ago. Overall it is a great product. But as with all things, service is required some times. In my case, the light that shows in the dairy small horizontal door has not worked for now 2 months. And you would think that is a simple thing but it appears is not. I called the "authorized / approved" service provider which requested of me the serial number of the part from LG itself. Absurd. So I called LG and requested it and they told me I was not supposed to do that but that provider was to know. Needless to say the service provider did not want to move a finger and LG asked me to work with him reason why that "simple" issue is not resolved after 2 months. So called another service provider from the list that LG itself gave me. And the remaining two do not come this way of the city. Only the service provider that does not want to come.
So I pull the bulb out myself and called the service provider and provided the part number. I am still waiting for that "quality service" to arrive. So I ordered the part myself from amazon and carefully tried to replace the part which I did successfully but did not work. So wasted the 27 dollars that the bulb cost as it was not the bulb. At this point after checking all things I do not know how to make it work... and the thing is I should not... it is the work of the only service provider LG recommends that does not do this work.
So called LG and they washed their hands off as they deal with that only guy.
In other words... LG service sucks to say the least.
Fortunately for everything else the refrigerator has kept running well and without any issues. But if I encounter one in the future, then..... apparently I will be doomed to beg someone not authorized to handle my expensive refrigerator.
THIS IS WHERE I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS LG (or any other major LG appliance) to anyone: the service is terrible and non-existent. Bad coming from such a large company.
Considering that I do not live but 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta does not speak well at all for them.
When I talked to others at work about it one co-worker mentioned to me that she had similar issues with her LG refrigerator (another model) regarding her compressor. She ended up changing the unit altogher for a Samsung which she loves and does not break.
So... sorry to say: nice refrigerator, so far it works great, but stay away from LG if you want peace of mind.
And to this day although I have mentioned this to LG over the phone, they simply send this requests for me to give them a review, when what is needed is for them to take action and support their products. After all LG motto is "Life is Great"... but is not when they do not stand by what they build.

i bought this frighted 3 -4 years ago.so far we have had numerous service calls.first, compressor was replaced.second the condenser needed to be placed two weeks later.third visit was to rid the refrigerator of loud fan noises.irony at its best, after that tech left the fans shut down.refrigerator is COOLING at 60 degrees.freezer is at 40 degrees.i am now awaiting another tech visit this week as well one more for the fan replacing.after spending numerous hours in my home waiting for techs, throwing out several hundreds of dollars of spoiled food and drinks i am at a total loss on why a 3000dollar refrigerator does not operate properly.funny though i have a secondary 400 sears refrigerator in my garage that has outperformed this lg LEMON.hoping to get some credit back or a full replacement on this product.it is time that companies stand behind their products and help the consumers.
