Awful refrigerator, customer service and repair

We bought this refrigerator brand new in feb 2019. It stopped working twice already, we have kids in the house. First time it broke down during the xmas holidays when we had about 15 people staying in the house. Loads of food got spoilt and customer service is extremely poor. It broke down again last week and technician came and repaired and said it should be fine in 48 hrs, but nothing came of it. In the mean time we are without a fridge and food got spoilt again. I strongly recommend not buying this product

Recurring noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have an LMX530776s and love the features and the looks BUT... it is going on the 4th time I have to empty the freezer and manually defrost the coil on the back wall of the freezer which entails removing the interior panels. The fan on the coil assembly starts to sound like a cartoon motorboat and keeps getting louder and louder. Many have had the fan replaced but that is not the problem. There is excessive ice buildup near the fan which eventually touches the wall of the unit and causes the sound. Over all it's a good fridge but for the price I paid this should be rectified by LG. I've owned many Fridges in the past and paid a quarter of the price and never had to touch them.

Not worth the price

Three times in four years the refrigerator has stopped working. Was told this was the best compressor around but our experience says otherwise. Now it will not dispense ice or water and there is no water line problem. Everything sounds like it is going to work but nothing. Waste of money and very disappointed

WORST REFRIDGE IVE EVER OWNED

I BOUGHT THIS NEW IN 2015, IT HAS HAD 2 COMPRESSORS REPLACED, AND 1 COMPLETE EVAPORATOR REPLACED, NOW THE ICE AND WATER DOES NOT WORK, ITS 5 YEARS OLD, IS THIS A LONG TERM PRODUCT?? I THINK NOT!!! I HAVE OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS IN REPAIRS ON A 36 HUNDRED DOLLAR IN LESS THAN 5 YEARS, AND HAVE TO PAY AGAIN TO GET THE ICE AND WATER TO COME OF THE DOOR. HANDS DOWN ITS THE WORST QUALITY PRODUCT I HAVE EVER OWNED IN 50 YRS. NO WONDER THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM. LG NEEDS TO STICK WITH TV'S AND GET OUT OF APPLIANCES, TOTAL RIP OFF

Great design poor build

Purchased in 2015. Have had nothing but trouble. Ice maker broke and had to replace. Door sensor failed. Now freezer compressor bad. Do not buy LG

Great size/ functionality but many headaches

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the size and functionality of this fridge BUT we’ve had issues with ice maker since it’s on the door...gets jammed easily due to temp fluctuations from opening the door. And compressor / cooling has been a major issue after 4-5 years. Repair people have now warned me...don’t buy LG again.
