We purchased this unit about 4 years ago and we have had to replace the compressor due to some kind of recall and now the ice maker is having issues. It is also not fingerproof so having to clean it constantly is also a chore.
Pros: ease of use

Not reliable, many repairs in 7 years.

New in 2015, replaced the compressor on warranty in 2018, lots of hassles of getting it to a LG repair shop, Also have to keep thawing out the freezer when humidity is high as the ice buildup hits the fan. 2022 current issue, no water or ice, the indoor water valves not working, replaced Sub PCB due to blowen circuit, and replaced the door valves, still not working. Looks like the main PCB is the fault, incorrect power to the Sub PCB.
