[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for 3 years now. It looks great, has amazing features, and great storage. Unfortunately within in that 3 years, we have had to unplug & find a place to store all contents elsewhere while the fridge/freezer thawed out. This was because the fan would get very loud. Constantly check the back and barely any buildup of hair or dust, it would just get very loud. Now, come to find out the whole unit just quit working and wouldn't cool or freeze. Along with that, the diagnostics wouldn't work with unit and smartphone. It said nothing was wrong. We are waiting for service to get parts in to get the refrigerator & freezer working again. Very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator is very roomy, excellent storage space and shelves. Unfortunately the compressor is prone to failure. Over time is fades away. First indication of a problem is when the ice maker stops. Then everything hoovers in the cool but not cold level. Parts are covered by warranty but not labor. Contact LG directly for service. After repair we are back in business. This unit came with our house from the previous owner.

I bought this 2yrs, and 6 months ago. I’ve already had 3 service calls and repairs on it . It’s not reliable. The compressor died at 29 months in.. the ice maker broke at 1 year in.. and the door slams on one side- and doesn’t shut completely on the right side- hence the gaskets are bad but are NOT covered under warranty. I like the design- but it’s not reliable.

We purchased this model back in 2017. About 18 months later we heard a loud noise like the fan was hitting something while rotating. Called LG, the answer? Unplug the refrigerator and allow it to defrost for 24 hours. This process works but we have to do it about every 4 months. Very nice fridge but not worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator has a 10 year warranty on the compressor. When working it is a great design and we love its features. In January 2019 the compressor and main board failed. We were without refrigeration for 44 days; we had another unit available for temporary use. It is now July 2022 and the compressor failed; this time it is 28 days without refrigeration. We bought a second basic refrigerator which we will keep as back up. The repairmen assures us the new compressor will be more dependable.
