My children all wanted a different gadget for our refrigerator and this LG had it all: Ice cubes, crushed ice, separate exhaust for water and ice, I wanted more space, my husband wanted a separate section for drinks, etc. I only give 3 stars because of the cooling system, it is not the best; we had to change the motor and other pieces along the way.

We moved here 3 years ago and it hasn’t worked properly since then. It isn’t even 6 years old, now my warranty won’t cover the expense to fix or replace. After 2weeks we had to buy another refrig. It is NOT lg and it will never be again.

Great features, but disappointing quality

We purchased our refrigerator in January of 2020 and, in general, we love the features and capabilities that this version offers. Lots of space, the Door-In-Door is super convenient and a nice energy saver, aesthetics are nice. BUT, after less than two years the compressor failed and we've now been without a refrigerator for two weeks since it takes time to order parts and get warranty service/repairs.

Door needed replacing after 5 years

5 1/2 years old and working well, then started getting communication errors and the icemaker made ice but didn't deliver. Thomasz at LG repair was phenomenal, but needed to replace a circuit board in the left hinge and the entire door, which contains electronics. I didn't realize how complex the external ice maker refrigerators are.

Fridge doors and compartments work great. Ice machine is small though and at 5 years fridge stopped working without notice. Then took 6 days to get a rep to come out and fix it. It was a the compressor and something else that went bad.

cooling problem

I have this refrigerator for over 5 years. It has a great design, the only thing it missing , is cooling. It lost cooing several times. Water is barely dripping. The technician was trying to fix it 3 times. Compressor was replace 2x . For over a month I have no use for the refrigerator.
