Doors switches malfunction constantly and will cause water and ice to not work. Class action lawsuit on coils and compressor covers the $$ but the 2 weeks without a fridge or freezer ?? "Priceless"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My refrigerator was out of warranty, but it was a "floor model" and a wire in the door fatigued and broke. This necessitated a very expensive door replacement. LG"s VIP support staff made a one time warranty exception, including labor charge, to get me back up and running!
This refrigerator is standard width but it feels like it is a lot bigger! We did not get counter depth because it is not really in a “built in” location but it does slide in between two cabinets. There is plenty of room and the French door ice maker does not take up the whole door, there are three door shelves! The freezer is my favorite part! Has a shallow shelf/drawer and a deep drawer plus the whole bottom container! I also love the middle fridge drawer! We bought the extended warranty and ended up needing a service call right near the end of the five years (It was related to temperature control). Very helpful and the repair company was very thorough. I have had about 4 or 5 refrigerators and just as many brands but LG is by far my favorite!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fridge, it came with a standup freezer in the bundle as well which was awesome. The original freezer was actually damaged and it was a smooth and easy process to get it swoped out.
Have had at least 12 service calls in two years. Everything has been replaced except the outer shell and it still makes a rattling sound, still has ice form on the door seals and does not make ice very quickly at all. If you need a lot of ice, wrong choice for you.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased beautiful frig in 2020 and have replaced the ice maker. Currently the compressor is noisy and the process for getting service is a pain. Love the fridge other than items noted.
