[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG 4 door Fridge has excellent features Great capacity and setting options The door features water and ice dispenser outside is great The chiller is good The section deep freezer has Goud capacity The big problem is the linear compressor which seems to fail on average in 4-6 years. This is very incovinient and disruptive. Also it is expensive to replace. LG should make sure the put in a longer lasting compressor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had no problems with this fridge for 4 years until the compressor just went out. Luckily there’s a warranty that covered parts and labor so we are set! We had it repaired and everything is working wonderfully.
My ice maker stopped making ice, then two days later the freezer was thawing. I called Geek Squad for the repair, gave them the error code for the bad compressor , and scheduled it for the next weekend since that was the soonest I could be home. They called 1 hr before arrival saying they don’t replace compressors. Frustrated, I called LG. They tried a couple things over he phone that didn’t work. I had to wait till the following weekend for the service since I work. Once the service tech arrived, it was repaired quickly and works perfectly again. No fridge for 3 weeks was not necessary, call LG first!
It’s broken 2 times already. This last time it’s been broken since September. I’m living without a refrigerator because they have made it so hard to get the stupid compresor.

It appears that every three years you need to get a new compressor and restock the refrigerator and freezer.

Had to have a new compressor installed. At todays prices the food loss was well over $1000 with the refrigerator and freeEe contents. Apparently this is a well known issue with this large capacity LG refrigerator as the technician had a larger compressor with him and installed it immediately without having to conduct any tests.
Pretty sad you pay that much for a refrigerator by what is supposed to be a reputable brand only to have it fair before it’s a year old and to cost the consumer time and money.

The guy that came fixed my fridge or tried to fix it was very nice I called him back and said it still was not fixed he said he'd call me or come by the next week it's been 2 weeks I still haven't seen him this fridge is going to the road and I'm letting everybody know never to buy an LG
