[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad we purchased this refrigerator, the best icemaker ever no issues ever! Love the door within the door feature. Love the outside deli drawer the wide bottom shelf pulls forward so you can see What’s in the back. I hope they never quit making this style refrigerator. It had everything I wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit with a home we purchased and now the refrigerator needs a new compressor and 600.00 for replacing. I most likely will not replace with LG if the units only last 7 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought our refrigerator recently and were impressed with delivery, courtesy and careful handling of deliverer. unit runs perfectly and we are happy customers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator in January 2020. Up until this August I liked it fine. It has a lot of good features, but in August the linear compressor failed and the repair experience was not good. The on line support and their "Smart Diagnosis" system accomplished nothing other than scheduling a repairman to come look at it. He was here for 5 minutes and all he did was tell me what I already knew, the compressor went out. If the "Smart Diagnosis" was useful he should have come ready to install a compressor on the first visit. Two weeks later he installed a new compressor and charged it, but some of the plumbing connections stuck out past the cabinet and vibrated against the rear cover. I fixed that by bending the cover to clear the tubing. While waiting two weeks for the compressor, we had to keep the refrigerator section cool with ice packs from our chest freezer in the garage. The "Smart Diagnosis" is just another example of an artificial idiot designed by a real idiot. If it was smart it would have express shipped a new compressor to the repairman to bring on the first visit. On October 7th I opened the freezer and the ice cream was soft again. Did a reset by unplugging it for 30 minutes as suggested on-line and it seemed to start cooling again. That worked for about a week and then I noticed that our little dial type fridge thermometer was out of the safe range (52 deg). Checked the freezer and it was also too warm (27deg vs 0). I pulled the refrigerator out to see if the compressor was running and accidentally unplugged it, so essentially reset it again. It is cooling again, but I bought a digital La Crosse wireless refrigerator/freezer thermometer. It has a sensor in each compartment and records the high and low temperatures for each section. I have only had it for a couple days. So far the freezer temp has varied between -4.2 deg and +15.4deg, while the fridge temp has varied between +35.8 deg and +46.7deg. I haven't found any info on what temperatures to expect from normal opening and closing of the doors, or in the defrost cycle, also no info on how often defrost is on or for how long, except that the trouble shooting guide says if it is too warm to wait 30 minutes and check again to make sure it is not in a defrost cycle. One last comment. Why can't they just display the actual temperature of each compartment and sound an alarm if the temperature exceeds a certain value for too long?

Hey there! It seems you have definitely exhausted troubleshooting on your end, and you know your stuff. Your LG French Door should be manually defrosting every 4–16 hours, but here is a helpful link in case you want to try it manually. http://spr.ly/6425uWzFH Should you have any further concerns or questions, we'd love to hear from you in a private message on our socials, @LGUSSupport.
Have had it for 6 years, the compressor went out. To long after the group lawsuit was settled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been very happy with the unit since buying it in November of 2017. The fact that we had to replace the compressor a few weeks ago diminishes are overall satisfaction with the unit. We hope LG stands behind their 10 year warranty on the compressor.
