We’ve had it for 6 years. We like the design with the double doors and extra door in the door as well as the drawers in the freezer. The features are great, the quality is substandard.Problems we’ve had: the finish has worn off in spots, looks cheaply done, the plastic plate for the water/ice dispenser is discolored and looks terrible, the light for the beverage door went out, the ice maker leaks into the fridge and we are currently waiting for a new compressor which went out two weeks ago.

3rd time the charm?

We bought our refrigerator in 2016. Compressor failed in 2018, got a new one. Another failure in 2022. Now the whole system was replaced. The only original part is the shell. Stay away.

Condenser and Water valves

This refrigerator has been nothing but problems from the bad condenser that has been known for years and the water valves that render the dispenser inop. That is something that has to be a long standing issue as well since people are ordering the parts, taking the good valves out, putting the bad ones back, then returning the parts which then get passed down to the next poor soul that has the same issue. Never again will I buy LG

The compressor only lasted about 3 1/2—four years

This refrigerator failed within four years, it is poorly built with apparently cheap parts. The water in the door stopped working, the technician tells me it’s because of wire broke inside the door. The only way to fix it is to replace the door. The compressor failed in the same amount of time, less than four years. I’ll never buy another LG product again
