[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, so I love this fridge, but there are issues. It's weird to have seemingly endless space, yet so many common things don't fit where you think they should. The doors have so many shelves, but most of them only fit small/thin bottles. The milk/juice shelf is amazingly spacious, but if you have many pickle jar sized items, you'll end up with them on a regular shelf in the fridge. Which brings me to my next space issue: tall items.
The main refrigerator shelves are deep and wide, holding pretty much everything you could ever hope for. As long as those items are short. Like really short. A can of whipped cream is too tall for the standard configuration, and while you can move those shelves around, it tends to make the remaining space awkward. The half shelf that pushes back is nice for a couple things, but if you have more than it will fit and your milk/juice section of the door is full, you'll probably end up lying it down. Do you buy large bottles of condiments? None of mine fit in any of the left door shelves. I don't even mean the Costco containers. A regular 32 oz. jar of mayo is a no go. There is only one door shelf above the milk that it will fit on, and that shelf only holds so much. The freezer is everything you could ever want, though. Space upon space for everything. If you use a lot of ice, you might want to keep an extra bin in there on the top shelf for some, as the ice maker is relatively small. It's enough for our needs, but worth mentioning because I know that's a big deal for some.
The middle drawer is probably the best feature of this fridge. We stuffed ours with cheese, yogurt, and more, but it would be great for drinks, meat, or whatever you need it for. The space is VAST, far more than I expected for a simple drawer. You could fit a whole frosted sheet cake in there and still have room for more. Very convenient and makes up for any disappointment we had about the shelves up top.
Other features worth an honorable mention: the air filter is much appreciated, the led lighting is perfection, the door-in-door is super handy, and did I mention the SPACE?!! :)
I recommend visiting a store to lay hands on this fridge. It was a dream purchase for me. I cook/bake nearly everything from scratch and never had enough room for more complex projects until now. Whatever your needs, it will likely be a great buy for you. Just take some time to consider what you have, where you want it, and if the shelves in this fridge will accommodate them without unnecessary hassle. In most cases, you might simply need to rethink where things might go, but a major purchase like this is worth a minute of measuring.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only had for 3 months now and it is getting louder every time it runs. It now sounds like it could take off. So disappointed!!

Absolutely terrible.

I bought this fridge about 4 or 5 years ago and it's mostly junk! I've had to defrost the motor and fans three times so far and it keeps freezing up. The doors continually sag after adjustment. Worst of all, the ice and water have ceased dispensing. I've replaced two parts to no avail and finally determined that the wires in the door have broken. I'm not the only one with this problem! Don't buy anything from LG - not a refrigerator, a phone, or a washer/dryer. Just go buy a brand that's worthwhile.
Also, why can't I find part# EAD62885601 anywhere? That's the number on the part itself! Why can't I find it anywhere?

Compressor died again, this is the tird time, I can tell LG sold us a faulty refrigerator that needs a recall. This model has a factory defect. Probably because is so big with cool feature that they did not built appropriate parts to resist the cold. Not buying from LG again cuz at least I would expect for them to take care of it since it was a very expensive appliance but they turn their back on us. As always, a big company takes your money and does not care about you

This is wonderful. Love the accessibility for the pocket door. Makes getting a drink much easier and cost effective since my kids are always getting one out. Easy to program and easy for the kids to use the ice/water dispensers.

We love this refridgerator

My wife and I waited for a year to buy this fridge, and it wasn't wasted. It's everything we wanted. We love the space, the convenience, the controls, just about everything. I read the reviews before I bought it, but the issues mentioned, not enough ice or room for open wine bottles, were not of a concern for my family. My kids haven't run out of ice yet, and we only have one bottle of wine open at a time. So far, I have nothing but praise for it, my wife wishes it came in white. Fantastic fridge!

Awesome with a Few Caveats

So far we really like our refrigerator. The LED lighting and the in-door ice maker are a couple of our favorite things. The frig is BIG - maybe a bit too big. I'm a fairly short person so the depth of the frig makes getting items from the back of the top shelves a bit difficult. I have to keep items we don't use often back there and have my husband reach them. The Glide N' Access sliding shelf is wonderful as are the Easy Access containers (I keep cheese and lunch meat in these little bins). Also, the Door-in-Door case is great for frequently used items but we did find that it's not a good storage option for milk. While we have the frig set at 36 degrees, the outer case doesn't get below 40 which shortens the life of dairy products. The Custom Chill Drawer is awesome. We set it at the coldest setting and use it for frozen items that get used up fast like microwave meals, boxed frozen vegetables, and my dog's meat. We still haven't worked out the most efficient way to use the big freezer drawer. While the pull-out drawers allow versatility for organizing boxed or smaller items, the jumbo opening for larger items is somewhat problematic. While there are a couple of dividers which help, things like bagged frozen vegetables, ice cream, bulk frozen meats & seafood all tend to get mixed together and we find ourselves rummaging through everything each time we try to find something. It would be nice to have some lift-out baskets so we could just take them out, close the freezer drawer, and rummage up on the counter. That would also prevent various things from falling over. I've tried a few different options but so far nothing is optimal. I'll keep trying. Even though this is one behemoth refrigerator, it still looks very nice in the kitchen. The stainless is easy to care for (I use an aerosol cleaner & microfiber cloth) and I especially like that the frig sides are gray and not white so it doesn't stand out so much. Also, since the sides are steel, they're magnetic and you can hang potholders, calendars, etc. on them. All in all, we're very happy with our purchase.
