This came out in 1970 and shook the foundations of rock music forever. Iommi's blues influenced guitar playing, Osbourne's political and social lyrics, and the great rhythm section of Butler and Ward pounded thier way into your skull. This is it kids the best so go and get it.

One of, if not THE, first metal albums. Guitarist Tony Iommi lost the tips of two of his fingers right before joining Black Sabbath. When most people would give up on their dreams of rock stardom, Tony turned this accident into an advantage. He restrung his guitar with the lightest gauged strings available and tuned them even lower. This not only allowed him to play with less discomfort, but it practically invented Black Sabbath's dark, brooding sound. The end result: a tremendous album by metal's pioneering band. Also great are Geezer Butler's bass solo on N.I.B., Bill Ward's drum intro on Wicked World, and Ozzy's demonic vocals on the title track. Black Sabbath's debut album is a MUST for metal fans!

ozzys first record with black sabbath i know ozzy osbourne got fired from black sabbath in 1979 ozzy returned to the music industry when he made his debut solo record which came out in 1980 and other releases followed as the years went on sabbaths sound did change when he got fired from sabbath this band had everything going for them untill ozzy got crazed and insane and the reason they fired him because of his drinking and drug problems ozzy use to be my hero till he made that darn reality show known as the osbournes but this is one very fine and one very raw and pure heavy metal record if you are just a guitar shredder or a metalhead or never even heard of black sabbath get this cd its a must have for all music fans this is my all time favorite metal record along with black sabbaths second studio album known as paranoid this is also my first favorite metal cd in my all time favorite albums iv listen to and own its a miust have beileve me it is you should buy all the black sabbath albums right away because black sabbath will always remain the best of the best
