My wife surprised me with this as an early holiday gift. The device is so smart compared to my first device a Fitbit Flex for which I had to learn what different combinations of white dots meant! Every day I am learning of new capabilities for it. Using it with S Health is a great tool as well. I am sure in the coming days I will learn of even more it can do. I was tickled to have it locate my phone for me today!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight

Went to one of the big electronics stores and looked at every fitness band. The Gear Fit was the only one that looked worth the money and had all the features I was looking for. It's screen is big enough to see messages easily and pairs seamlessly to my Galaxy phone all the time. You can still get away with wearing a nice leather/stainless banded dress watch on your other wrist without looking lame since the Gear Fit isn't oversized and doesn't look like a regular watch. Highly recommend a high grade screen protector/shield for the screen. Only feature I feel they could improve on is the Sleep Tracker function, I use that feature every night but it doesn't give too many details like some of the competition, a software update for the sleep function would be awesome. 5 stars though overall!

The greatest fit band around. Doesn't end with counting your steps; you can have uninterrupted work outs by easily viewing calls and messages and other customizable notifications right on your wrist. My favorite part is the ability to control your music on the Gear.

Love the Gear Fit

I use this daily. It is very easy to use once you get into the routine of wearing it. I hope Samsung comes out with this design to wear in the water. I would like the app to track more fitness activities, but I still would not trade this fitness devices for others on the market.

I was skeptical about the trend of smart watches. But started a new fitness plan and was looking for something to track my heartrate. I'm a die hard Samsung fan/user, so I knew I'd only try a Samsung smart watch. The Samsung Gear Fit has been a great addition to my fitness plan! I love all the other features as well... notifications, call decline responses, sleep tracking... even the ability to change the face wallpaper to match my outfits! I get tons of questions about it. Many iPhone/fitbit users are jealous of the look, cost and features. ;)

A solid 4 before it stopped working

I initially purchased this watch to keep track of my mileage while running. It seemed to work great, but then I compared it to my Samsung S5 phone and noticed a pretty large discrepancy (1/4/-1/2 mi) in the distance tracked. I tried rebooting and resyncing the device but no luck. Eventually I just gave up and used it as a watch and notifications for text messages and phone calls. This was fine for about 6 weeks longer, then the watch simply stopped working. It constantly reboots and never completes the process leaving the device unusable.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, gliches
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was skeptical from the other reviews but I really do love this thing! I think the updates fixed allot

Unhappy after only owning for about 2 months

The watch got stuck in a reboot loop as others have mentioned within first couple months of owning. now trying to send back to samsung to see if they can fix it. we will see how this goes.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
