Its a nice beginner watch. It just doesnt do anything beside steps in auto mode. HR,sleep., etc. You have to manually touch the screen for those options. But I do like the notifications for email, text, and phone. So for your first one this product would be fine. I still use mine until my gear fit 2 comes in.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers
Cons: not alot of auto functions
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the Fit to use when I'm at work because I use the Gear S3 Frontier when I'm not at work. So far the Fit has done what I needed it too and has taken pretty serious abuse but it still looks and performs like the day I bought it.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight

Unable to add exercises to it, comes standard with running, walking, cycling. Unable to add anything else. Difficult to set it up for notifications.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations

I wear this watch everywhere. The quick connect band makes it safe enough to wear while repairing machinery. Scratch resistant and tough.

I thought the device wouldr not be useful and kind of a gimmick, but I'm pretty surprised on how useful and how well it works with your phone. Also the design and display are great.

Rebooting Smart Watch

I enjoyed having the watch even though I do not feel like all of the features worked consistently. However, I have not had the watch five months and it has stopped working. All it does is continue to "reboot" and will not work. I have another watch I bought for my wife as well that started doing the same thing about a week and a half after mine started. I plan on contacting Samsung for a replacement.
