great phone, poor external speaker, needs a bump from 2gb internal memory to 3+. always running at 90+ memory usage with under 10 extra apps installed. no games or memory hogs. aside from that, still one of the best phones on the market.
Pros: Bright display, feature rich, expandable, great camera
I previously had a Motorola Razr and was having serious battery life issues. Had been waiting to upgrade to a phone with a larger screen. Decided on this phone and have been very happy. Have no complaints so far and would recommend this phone to anyone!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great phone, as an IT person I've used a number of phones over the years and this one is great. It's a decent size, takes nice pictures, performance is pretty good. Samsung installed a number of nice phones on top of the existing Android KitKat features.
The only issue I've had is a program called Quick Connect draining 50% of the battery in a few hours. Samsung released a new version that I installed yesterday. The problem hasn't happened again but too early to decide if it's fixed. When this program doesn't surface I easily get through a normal day on one charge.
I haven't tested it yet but I like the waterproof and drop specs of the phone, I tend to be tough on them and either drop them and crack a screen or get them wet.
I really like the S view cover, easy to use flip over protector for front but let's me see information at a quick glance. I also like that I can take pictures both with the cover closed over the front and with it opened against the back (the camera lens lines up through the clear opening).
The only issue I have is that the phone doesn't support Adobe Flash player. 10 or better.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

The phone itself looks good and is very light for the size. I wish it came with 3g ram to improve the performance, has potential but lacks space to make it excellent. The phones battery life is okay just to use often but could be a problem if you use for work. Phones would be better off if there were no pre-loaded apps that will never shutoff. Overall just another smartphone, fighting for speed and battery life.
I traded up from a S3 to the S5. It is a vast improvement in every way. It is my main device and camera. Battery life is great. I am a power user and I do not have to worry about finding a charger. The power saving modes are great. The USB 3.0 connection charges the phone faster than regular micro USB cords. The finger scanner works great and fast.
Bought this phone because after a year and a half my G3 was doing crazy stuff, bogging down, restarting itself, getting hot. First day of using G5, even though processor is stronger, it still bogs down while using music player, does not reset or anything strange, but memory usage kills Bluetooth periodically and gets really hot off and on, even without a case. Good phone for being a sleek model, very light, but the glitches are really irritating.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
