An all around winner

The S5 replaced an older smart phone with a physical keyboard. Having large fingers, I was concerned about not having a physical keyboard but those concerns evaporated almost instantly.
The screen is large and bright and very easy on my old eyes. I have no problem seeing or reading the screen regardless of ambient light.
The processing speed is noticeably fast. The list of features is extensive and is more than I need, but if you have it you will use it and benefit.
I am an avid photographer with multiple cameras. The pictures taken with the S5 in varying lighting situations are amazing.
The battery life gets me through my day, but is less than my previous smartphone with an admittedly smaller screen that was not as bright and slower processing.
Bottom line- it does what it claims it can do and no hype!

Hi-Tech in the palm of my hand

I always said I would never get a smartphone. I thought I didn't need one. Now, I have to have one just to keep up with the whereabouts of my children, the local and national news, and the pertinent information that makes my world go round. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has provided me the ease of keeping in touch, keeping up-to-date, and keeping myself organized all in one place.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, camera
Cons: speaker sound

Galaxy s5 makes my day

My Galaxy s5 is my first state of the art smartphone. To date, I've compromised on features and functionality to keep my cost down. My last phone, which I will not identify specifically, was such a compromise - small screen, non-replaceable battery, older system software. Now I understand what I've missed.
I really like the 5"+ screen. At age 50+, my eyes have trouble with smaller images and the s5's screen provides large, crisp, and clear images. Whether it is text, picture, or video, I'm not squinting any more!
The camera has wowed me, too. I captured panoramic shots at the Grand Canyon that put my compact digital camera to shame. In fact, all my photos from the s5 look great and people are amazed they were from my phone. I have also taken video that seems every bit as good as well.
And the phone works great as a phone, too. I haven't had dropped calls or other connection issues. Used as a handset or with a Bluetooth device, call quality is good.
All in all, I am a happy Galaxy s5 user. I expect this unit will retain it's value and will make me think long and hard about changing once I have the opportunity to consider changing phones again.

I love this phone. There are so many great things about, I don't know where to start. It's powerful and fast, while holding a charge and being quick to juice up.
Kids mode is the best thing, as the mother of a toddler. It has nice learning games that keep him safely amused while I study.
I like that the screen is big, even if it won't let me type one handed. It's easier to see the bright and hi def videos. It's also nice for readability when I want to read on the go.
I really can't think of any cons for me. This is perfect for me as a mother, a student, and an IT professional.

Great Features and Performance

I had an S3. It was having some issues, and I went to the S5. This thing is super fast, and it has one of the best cameras I have ever had. The different apps you can use to utilize the new features seems limitless. The finger print reader is amazingly accurate. This gives you an extra level of security on your phone. It also the music sounds great through the new speakers.
The wireless antenna seems to be a bit stronger then the S3. Also the battery is so much better and has a phenomenal life span, and with the Super Battery Saver function, the battery can last days at a time without being recharged.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: the port flap breaks easily

a got the galaxy s5...I love it, is fast bright and powerful
the only thing I'm not very happy with would be the very fragile built of its body, it would crack- scratch very easily.
