Excellent functioning phone, my favorite to-date

When I say SGS5, for this review, I am refering to the Samsung Galaxt S5: now let me begin by saying; I love how the phone is water resistant, i have dropped mine in wet cement, accidentally, picked it out and hosed it off: it had no issues maintaining itself and still works and looks as good as the day purchased new, without me letting people know no one would never know.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a very powerful phone packed with amazing system specifications, the downside to this is the bloat ware associated with BOTH the manufacturer and distributer; leaving only 1/4th-1/5th system RAM available at any given time without any additional apps ever installed, this issue becomes apparent shortly after purchase: although the battery does last forever AND game performance is equal if not better than current competitor's iterations, with some research you can also remove most of the bloatware
The display is beautiful beating most every phone I have seen to date, also it is very resistant to scratching; with a screen cover the colors still maintain their original brilliance.
The phone is VERY customizable, that being said new-comers to the smartphone experience may find a steap learning curve ahead. Once one learns to operate the operating system the SGS5 becomes very manageable with no hassles.
With Samsung we are privy to two sperate app stores each offering different store specific apps. It is nice not being tied to one specifc route of app acquisition.
The speakers however for music, ringtones, general media, and even the ALARM are quite low; this is my biggest issue. This issue can be moderately fixed with a little research on the matter, still they are quite low in volume.
A close second to volume is the stock keyboard, it is very slow on response; if you are a fast keyboardist you will have many typos, this can be fixed with a little research, which I would recommend every S5 owner look into.
The fingerprint scanner does work and will keep your phone secure, although it will take time learning how to properly use for first swipe unlocks. If you have clammy hands in general the scanner will ask you to wipe dry the scanner, doing so registers as a scan and after 5 attempts you are locked out for 30seconds; this can become annoying over time.
Samsung offers proprietary software that allows multiple Samsung devices to communicate with other Samsung devices, including; FitGear, Televisions, other smartphones, tablets, PCs, etc.. This is very nice and the applications these functions provide have a very wide range, from sharing for social entertainment, security, phone tracking, data sharing, ease of use, and even multiple instances for games to take place on two samsung devices to act as one I.e. a air hockey table where a players side is shown independently per phone.
The SFit software has only gotten better from what started as a great suite.
Although I have yet to find a stylus that "supports" the SGS5 you can use any cunductive material (tin foil wrapped around a dull tipped pencil) making a very accurate insturment for wrighting and drawing.
The "book-cover" cases offer very nice protection and also grant new functionality to the device itself. The "Ultra Power Saver Mode" is a life saver when low on battery life and you need to get a few more hours out of your phone; I can not stress enough that every phone should have this feature from here on in. The "Smart Stay" feature however only if ever in bright day light, not so much indoors, this feature could use a revamp. Also the "multi-window" and "One-Handed Mode" are flawless in performance and add new demsions to what a phone can do. The RFID chip is also a nice alternative to credit card use: Welcome to the new age!
Even with the Con's I would highly recommend this phone over others, as most issues are fixable with a little knowledge of the operating system, or a little time learning it, and a little research. The durability is amazing, the software for the most part is solid; save for video calls that span over a few hours, which loose video and voice quality after consecutive hours of use. The way in which accounts can be integrated makes the device is very keen on maintaining email, social media, news, or anything one may be interested in. A solid and reliable phone with the ability to maintain the competitive edge for some time to come.

Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, highly customizable, very powerful phone, access to two separate app stores, resistant to heavy damage, multiple device compatibility, strong battery, ultra power saver mode, very secure, resizable screen for small hands
Cons: speakerphone sounds are not very loud., difficult to understand for beginners, a lot of bloatware uses up most system ram, stock keyboard is very slow in response, no sgs5 specific stylus

I love the camera and the features about this phone I use S health all the time. I also use S voice to schedule appointments, birthdays and alarms also to call or text.
Pros: Realistic color

Great pictures, fitness app is just as good as getting a fitbit. Don't need to carry a camera or pedometer just always have phone on hand charge lasts long and charges quickly. Everything at my fingertip

As a middle - aged skeptic in today's technological Era I am hard to please when it comes to my phone. Everything has to be the best, everything has to be fast, everything has to be easy
My Galaxy S5 is all of that! Plus lots of apps and easy to use in every way.
I'm really glad I own this phone!
