It's pretty great, though occasionally glitchy

It's a great phone, most of the time. However, you have to manually close your applications so that not too much is running in the background. When you let a lot of applications continuously run in the background, the phone slows tremendously and starts to freeze up.
Love the Galaxy S5! Super speedy (except when placing calls) and fun to use. Camera quality is excellent. Took all my European vacation photos with it and was very pleased. Love the size. I have two complaints about its performance: 1) there is a significant delay between dialing a number and getting a dial tone; and 2) the keyboard is really wacky. It doesn't like my words even after retyping them numerous times, and I can't understand why or when it decides to start capitalizing each word in a sentence.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: dictionary, delay in placing calls

Great phone. Works well and no issues to date. I would recommend this to all users.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of my favorite phone to ever come out of samsung. The phone is fast fluid and pretty to look at, and it has a camera that is capable of 4K video. And that it is IP67 certificate.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Not high def

This is by far the best phone I have owned. I stayed with the Galaxy s3 long past my eligibility for an upgrade simply because I liked my phone and didn't want to go through the hassle of switching. I only switched because the dings and dents had become an eye-sore and I'm glad I did. I have yet to experience any issues other than the difficult to remove charging port plug which is necessary to preserve the phones waterproof qualities. Speaking of those features, Awesome! I can now run without regard to the weather and the availability of plastic bags If you are in the market for a new phone ditch the iphone and go for the galaxy.
