Great phone but battery life not as incredible as advertised

I love this phone. It has in internal remote control, 4k camera, fingerprint security, nfc, screen mirroring, multi-windows for multitasking two apps simultaneously, and is pretty fast. The battery life isn't as great as I've read about, but maybe that's because my battery might be defective. I've had to send in the phone in for repairs 3 times now for battery related repair. The customer warranty service is very good. You get emailed a prepaid label for shipping and then you get your product back all repaired. Guess I've been unlucky with the battery though. My phone lasts less than 4 hours of normal use. I had to purchase an aftermarket battery to make it last longer, so I know it's my battery, but hopefully Samsung will take care of that. I've dropped the phone a few times and have never broken the glass so kudos to the durability of this product. I also understand it's waterproof, but I dare not test that feature. The speakers are on the weak side when it comes to sound. I have to hold the phone nearby for speaker phone calls.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: battery life

The s5 is by far the best phone I've ever owned but it does come with it limitations for most people. My biggest issue and my biggest like about the product is the size. I knew I was getting a large screen phone and was looking forward to it. But the size will make you change your normal routines. For most activities, one handed use is out of the question.
S5 the next best thing. Great camera , reception , quality , battery life, features, Etc. I live in a low reception area and my friends with iphones have to stand next to a window with there phone held up up in the air. All of our Samsungs get great reception everywhere in the house.
I upgraded from a SIII to the S5 and i love it, from the bigger screen, to the water proof covering and it has a great camera. The smart switch was a plus also so i didnt lose any of my data!
As a former diehard BlackBerry user, I wasn't sure how things would work out on a totally new OS. Needless to say, I am very happy with my T-Mobile service using this Galaxy S5. The device is very responsive and easy to navigate. Hopefully the new Lollipop OS will bring an even better experience.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, a lot of personalization. options., charges very quickly.
Cons: miss physical keyboard and unified inbox.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Consistently top reviews

I have owned 3 previous Motorola Droid phones. The android kitkat update in mid 2014 introduced many issues to their Droids.. When Motorola failed to address most of those issues, I left their fold. I researched smartphone reviews from both owners and testing Web sites. The S5 is consistency at or near the top of all lists. My experience thus far bears thar out. Bright clear screen, replaceable battery, micro sd card expansion, very quick charge, easy settings access. My only knock is it's not always easy to find answers to sometimes simple usage questions, i.e., no detailed user manual that I can find online.
I would recommend this to a friend!

4g and wifi
on October 1, 2014

My 4g and wifi are on at the same time. I have to turn off my mobile data when im on wifi so it does not use both of them. Fix this
Way better than any other device I have used In the past. The bloat ware on this device almost made me switch to apple, well maybe the other Droid products. Until I saw a utube vid that showed me how to block it on my device. That kind of thing is unacceptable at the price payed for phone added to the monthly service cost and I was forced to add an external battery to get the (advertized) battery life out of the device.
