My S5 was the perfect upgrade from my S3! The camera is PHENOMENAL as well as all the functions and capabilities!

Great phone, HORRIBLE battery life

When I first upgraded to this phone from my 3 year old Droid Razr Maxx HD, I absolutely loved it. Awesome features. Fast. Beautiful screen... And then 4 hours later my battery was dead. What?! So I charged it again, and it only lasted about 5 hours. My old phone, running at its max, with a battery that lasted half as long than when it was new, STILL OUTLASTED my new S5. And that's a real bummer, because I was looking forward to this phone and I really like the phone. I have to charge it once or twice a day, after it charges all night. And I don't use it that much. Just text, checking email, and occasional web-brousing and Facebooking... Wicked bummah.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, can reach everything with one hand
Cons: terrible battery life, not enough storage
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this thing it's waterproof has external memory and replaceable batteries. It's so essential for active traveling individuals.

Non smart user of smart phone

I resisted moving up a few decades from flip phones to smart phones. But since making the change, I don't know why I waited. I have a Galaxy Tab 3 tablet, so the android os fits well with my limited knowledge. I am amazed with the functionality. The hot spot is great for the wifi tablet when traveling. It has been very reliable for email, texting, gps maps as well with internet. I find that the size of the screen and related keyboard is very easy to use and read.
