For the money it was a good deal

the volume buttons could be placed at the top instead of the sides where you hold your phone
same with the sleep button. its much to easy to accidently hit those buttons and suddenly your ringer is turned off, or you hear your phone dinging as you move after accidently hitting the sleep/wakeup button. Other than that "great phone".

Galaxy is the only way to go

Samsung galaxy really lets you explore your personality to customize how you want. Its fast speed allows quick access to tools/apps/and games. I only want a phone I can have access to a mini sd card to hold all of my pictures and videos. This phone does that!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive, Built-in speakers
Cons: need more space for apps

I think the camera needs a little work. Its a little slow taking pictures in my opinion compared to the Iphones and focus is a little difficult to get right at times. Instead of adding soo many features focus on clarity and speed of snapping pictures on the next galaxy.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, slow camera, heats up, reception

I am using the Samsung S5 Verizon daily for almost a year and find it a decent phone.
Pros:
- great display
- fast processor
- good battery life
- battery can be replaced (batteries available everywhere)
- has external SD card (same location as SIM card)
- Loudness and quality via earphones (wire and bluetooth) is great (bluetooth problems have been fixed)
- Android Wear watch (Samsung Gear Live) works great with this phone
Cons:
- device encryption excludes screen unlock via fingerprint reader
- pulse sensor is useless
- problem for all phones with Android 4.4 or newer: access to SD card is very restricted i.e. only Samsung file manager can access all files. Many Apps cannot deal with it correctly. So it gets crowded in the 16GB internal memory.
- Lots of useless pre-installed apps that cannot be uninstalled, is a security risk and wastes resource. At least those apps can be deactivated through the Application Manager.

This phone is great for the price that you have to pay for it. It has almost all of the features as the newer model with more than half off the price.
