Everything I was hoping for in my new phone

I decided to get the Samsung Galaxy S5 as my Motorola Droid Razr MAXX was getting slow and it was time for my upgrade. I waited for this phone because every other phone that verizon was offering had been out since 6 months ago and potentially didn't have KitKat and I don't want to start out with a phone on the verge of obsolescence. While the Samsung GUI is taking some getting used to, I love the double window feature and not needing to leave my email just to view an email. I like that I can preview emails without touching the screen (though for some reason this doesn't work in the gmail app). I like how fast the phone is and it seems to last about two days without recharging based on harder than normal usage (due to downloading all the apps etc). While the connector is not standard, you can apparently use a regular microusb to charge, so all these extra cords I have from previous phones etc won't totally go to waste. I like that you can do a screen shot by swiping your hand across the screen, however, I can't seem to figure out how to program the buttons to do customized functions.
My only complaint, and this might be due to a problem with the S View cover, is if I reboot the phone it always gives me a warning to check the battery cover. I can mark that it should stop telling me that, but if it's detecting an issue, that doesn't seem like a solution?
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, battery life

I have had an iPhone for the past 4 years, but after using my new Galaxy--Apple has lost a customer!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: needs better speakers

I really researched the Samsung S5 before I actually purchased it. I loved the bigger screen and other features that were highlighted, but I was a little anxious about giving up my iPhone. I was afraid learning to use the S5 would be a challenge. I was pleasantly surprised that it is just as user friendly. And in fact, some of the elements like the keyboard and camera are much better than the iPhone. No regrets at all!!!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, great value!

i had an iphone for about 2 years and i never thought about switching to samsung until my friends finally convinced me. i do not regret it at all! you can do much more with this phone!!I ITS AMAZING!!

This is the best phone I have ever had. Good size screen very clear and easy to understand the use.

I truly am amazed with the camera. The focus feature was enhanced and the picture quality is awesome. I enjoy having a bigger screen in comparison to the Samsung galaxy 4. If I am texting and someone calls me...I am able to view the callers info whIle I am texting and decide to accept or deny the call while I continue to text.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is on great phone for everyday life use as drop the phone in dust or water unlike the iPhone 5s, the other thing I love about this phone is the ultra power save is great for like camping or if you know you won't be at a charger, and the last thing about the phone is the screen broken but the whole phone is in perfect shape so it is durable phone.
