The Galaxy Tab 4 7" is a great budget friendly tablet for someone who doesn't need bleeding edge technology, but doesn't want something that is just entry level. I purchased this tablet originally as a quick electronic reference, but I soon found out that my purchase was good for so much more. The small form factor was perfect and can fit in my pocket easily without having to stretch out the pocket like some larger tablets. The screen is great for something in this price range, and the ability to insert a micro SD card is a major plus over some of the competition.
This runs Kit Kat very well and has a familiar setup as any of the Galaxy line of phones with the touch buttons along the bottom for menu and back, as well as a physical button in the middle. If you have ever used a Galaxy phone, you will feel right at home. Programs are fairly snappy and everything seems to work pretty well as long as they are not too intensive of a program. One of my favorite features however, is the IR blaster. I had a previous tablet in the same size, however the IR blaster was pretty limited in the manufacturers that it can learn. The Galaxy Tab on the other hand had a much more expansive list of manufacturers, as well as a greater range. It worked perfectly out of the box and I was able to play with friend's TVs with ease wherever I went.
Overall, this tablet is a great all around feature packed budget tablet that is better than most of its competitors.

Sturdy and really well built

This device is perfect. It is not to large or too small. It is really sturdy and has not broken after dropping it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: does not have flash for camera or charging light

I'm pretty impressed with my Galaxy Tab 4. It's light, affordable, and handles all of the tasks that I need a tablet for. Standby mode seems to conserve battery life pretty well, compared to other tablets that I've owned. The display is bright and vivid, and it seems to multi-task well.
Pros: Lightweight

Its not as snappy as my galaxy s6 but i enjoy watching movies on it so do the kids

If I wrote this a year ago, my opinion might differ. For most people this tablet would be a great choice. It is wonderfully accessible and has a lot of nice features. The display, size, and weight are all very nice. My only real problem is that the hardware is a little dated and I was not able to smoothly run a lot of the newer high powered games and apps. The retail price is also still a little high for a tablet of this age. If you don't require heavy processing power or extreme graphic capabilities, this will be an amazing tablet for you.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, too pricey

Overall an amazing tablet

This tablet is just really cool. I got this for mostly for entertainment purposes. I really made use of the multitask bar and thought that it was really useful it had that. I downloaded quite a few apps even though having half of the space to download them because of the built in apps I sadly didn't need and updates I had to install, so a SD card would be a great idea to get if you want to download apps, movies, music and other media. The 1.5 gigs of RAM was also pretty great with playing those apps and games. And it has a perfect sized screen for surfing the web and watching videos. The design of the tablet was good. The only thing I didn't like about the design is that the power button is on the same side the sound buttons were on. Or either that it's because I'm so used to my phone having the power button on one side and the volume buttons on the other. But other than that the SD is in a really useful place and really liked the front and back cameras. Very pleased with this tablet, though.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
